To be fair it is a high school footy match.
School footy very highly rated in Victoria.

Not only do the private schools have most of the Vic Metro kids playing private school footy, many of the top Country boys are boarding at Vic Metro private schools and playing private school footy like Paddy Dow, Jarrod Brander, Lochie O'Brien, Charlie Spargo, and Matthew Ling. Or travelling long distances each day and playing for Vic metro private schools like LDU and Oscar Clavarino.

I still don't know if you're a troll, but if you act in real life like how you act on here I just plain feel sorry for you. You are a child.
Maybe he is Leppa? Really does not like Fagan.

Mm maybe I'm underestimating school footy as it is nothing in QLD.

Surely as a youngster they'd be the games you'd care least about though right?
To the contrary. They are played with huge spirit. The competitiveness among APS schools in particular is quite unbelievable.

Hectic. No wonder these kids don't want to leave Melbourne.

Scouts pay a fair bit of attention to the AGS/APS footy down here.

Yep. Spot on.

If you were looking at employing someone with potential, would you want to see them putting their best foot forward throughout the whole process? Or just when it suited them?

Not good.

Cam Rayner played in private school semi final today. His team lost and reports from Brett Anderson and others on twitter is that Rayner just went through the motions, no defensive effort (was called lazy) when playing in the midfield.

When I first read this and thought about it I was thinking about how that you can't be up and about for every game and that it is a long season for them. I threw in the fact that the finals will be important for these guys and how they perform (McGrath last year). Then it dawned on me, Rayner's team won't be playing finals, as a player I personally always put in my best when I crossed the white line and even though I personally didn't see the game this rings alarm bells for me. Maybe he is mentally weak or a figjam one might say and picks and chooses. It's a big No for me eventhough I was already not wanting him but I reckon he's going to get caught out in the big boys league with an attitude like and also with a lot of work for him to do with his aerobic capacity.

If we draft Lochie O'Brien lock in a flag very soon
I'm not going to go and say lock in a flag but he is one that I liked the look of last year. Main concern is that I don't see him lasting till our Port pick but there is the high possibility of trading picks on draft night. Getting an inside mid (Paddy Dow) with some outside class (Lochie O) would seriously add to our midfield. Throw Ballenden in later and it would be good mix IMO. Not sure if the club would use the Port and our second rounder to do it (because of Ballenden) but fortune does favour the brave.

I don't know why and I base this comment on nothing but gut feel (no evidence whatsoever) - I just get this vibe that Rayner will also have behavioural issues early in his career. Pure speculation on my part but just have a bad feeling - perhaps it's just the constant Dusty comparisons!

Yep an inside and outside midfielder with our first two picks would be a great result IMO, would be two big ticks to our midfield rebuild.

We might be able to look at packaging up the Port pick and our second rounder and trading it to the Bulldogs/Eagles for there first and second, would give us something along the lines of pick 9/26, Pick 9 would be close to getting Obrein, with pick 26 potentially beingused for a potential Cameron trade / Ballenden Bid.

Having the Port pick and Ballenden gives us some decent flexibility, hopefully can manufacture something decent from the later picks.

Why would we boo Rayner? What has he done to us. I am gonna guess you were one of the ones who boo'd Adam Goodes.
