If Brisbane are smart they will take Rayner and put him up with Luke Hodge, then draft his mate from the Western Jets Fogarty (who can also play) at either 15 or 18 so he's got a mate straight off the bat. .

This keeps being said as if it's a fait accomplis.

Hodge has a wife and 3 kids.

I can't see it being required (or even expected ) of Hodge that he adopt an 18 year old and put him up in his house.

Even if Hodge is OK with it, there is always Mrs Hodge. She in all likelihood would have some say in it as well.

It's also not a given that Rayner, Dow or any other draftee for that matter is going to readily agree to living with another player 15 years his senior AND his family

FWIW Bishop just did a phantom (based off "gut feel/inside info/guess work") and had Bonar going to the Saints at 8.

He also commented about Carlton's pick 10 that "some sources say this is the furthest Bonar will get with the Blues unlikely to let him get past".
Could absolutely be right. But I'm yet to see a single source outside of Bigfooty that has Bonar in the first round.

Same as last year. Get two boys with an existing relationship, say LDU and Bonar, and then house them with Harro.

Other than the childish enthusiasm for double entendres what is the push for bonar. Widely stated we need mids, often said by the club we are going to the draft to get mids, how does bonar fit into our recruitment needs especially when ballenden and possibly payne are likely to be selected.

He played a few games as an inside mid late in the year and has shown good hands, strength in the contest and is one of those players that has really impactful moments. Combined with his athleticism he's a tantalising prospect. Potential coming out the wazoo.

There were some kids at my school I didnt like!!!!
The lions used the bunch strategy last year recruiting guys from the same team - Vic country. Could they do it again with the Haileybury connection? LDU, Bonar and Constable? All 3 attend the same school do they not? Would make the transition north a little easier..

Cant remember which media dude said A.Bonar (sorry winged one) wont get past saints at 7 or 8.

Yeah, I guess going top 10 vs top 5 isn't that much difference if he turns out to be an injury ridden bust. Is he all that injury prone though? If the first reco has been done satisfactorily he most likely would have played all year. It wasn't really like he did the same knee twice.

No. He did one knee and the reconstruction wasn't done properly so required a second surgery to correct it which resulted in him missing almost two years of footy.

I might be wrong Gadzorks but i believe his first knee operation was botched so had to have a second on the same knee. Other knee is fine i think or waiting explode omggg................BTW what is Gad in Gadzorks??????
