Callum Twomey's latest phantom form guide out this morning, ie. power rankings not where he sees them going.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-11-17/cal-twomeys-phantom-form-guide-november-edition

1) Cameron Rayner. Being strongly considered for the Brisbane Lions' pick No.1 and would be a deserving choice.
2) Luke Davies-Uniacke. Is one of the names in the No. 1 race for the Lions.
3) Paddy Dow.
4) Adam Cerra.
5) Jaidyn Stephenson.
6) Andrew Brayshaw. Brayshaw has been in the No. 1 pick discussion for a while and is a good chance to head to the Lions.
7) Darcy Fogarty.
8) Jack Higgins.
9) Hunter Clark.
10) Aaron Naughton.
11) Nick Coffield.
12) Jarrod Brander.
13) Patrick Naish.
14) Ed Richards.
15) Lochie O'Brien.
16) Oscar Allen.
17) Aiden Bonar.
18) Charlie Constable.
19) Sam Hayes.
20) Nathan Murphy.

21-30) Mat Ling, Lachlan Fogarty- (The Brisbane Lions like Fogarty and he is a chance to head there at pick No. 15 or 18), Zac Bailey, Charlie Spargo, Charlie Ballard, Jordan Houlahan, Connor Ballenden- (A bid seems unlikely to come for Ballenden in the first 25 picks after his season), Jack Petruccelle- (The Brisbane Lions could look at Petruccelle at pick 18), Gryan Miers, Ryley Stoddart.

Paddy Dow not getting a mention for us anymore from most pundits and the mail remains strong that we are into Lachlan Fogarty and I have heard Jack Petruccelle linked to us a couple of times now. Also seems unlikely that a bid is going to come for Ballenden before our pick 18.

I hope we go for Petrucelle at pick 18, a genuinely exciting high ceiling prospect. A solid mark, ridiculous quick and agile, but still quite raw. There’s quite a bit to work with there

Reckon Rayner, Higgins, L.Fogarty. According to those on the drafts and trading board they have the most links to us.

I don't mind that group but it would be interesting for a team that was reputedly out to bolster the midfield to not take one pure mid.

I can see us taking one of those players if we get Rayner, but all 3 would be a head scratcher. Fair chance of being a medium forward and a couple of small forwards who can rotate through the midfield but won't spend too much time there.

Higgins is someone I personally don't want but I reckon he's someone the club would love. I would take a punt on Constable, Bonar or even Petrucelle for some speed.

I'd feel the same but I guess it boils down to the system Fages is building and who we see fitting into that. Or I suppose we'd see 1 or 2 of them as being at least 50/50 or more down the line. Interesting times ahead.

On a side note when is that 2km trial going down? Interested for the results.

If we took Rayner at Pick1, who do you think would still be available at 15 that could be considered a pure mid?

Good point, Constable probably the only one. The pure mids of the first round seem to all be in the top 6 or so. Although I suppose there's a chance there's one out there we rate a lot higher than the pundits in that range. Or obviously we see one or two of the players we do take as ending up full time mids.

A few more seem to come into the rankings in the second round like Bailey and Starcevich.

Zac Bailey and Lachlan Fogarty should both be available and would be considered pure mids, maybe not straight away like a LDU, Dow, Brayshaw or Cerra but in a couple of years.

Not a great sign with someone like Fogarty off a serious knee injury and significantly heavier wins so comfortably.

Rayner ran 7:57 for his 2km time trial.

Pretty disappointing result although I don't think it really changes perceptions at all, pretty much leaves us all where we were in regards to speculating on his fitness. He's either genetically low or not pushing himself to get out his best. Neither is ideal.

To round it off lets say 8 minutes for 5 laps of a standard running track- That's 96 seconds per lap, he would have been lapped by a few of the runners if he ran in the combine.

Depending on how they ran it almost twice.

So he either doesn't have it or he tanked it.

Put it into perspective with two weeks training I could run that and I am 30 years past my athletic career (and 30 kgs).

SOS: "Just jog mate. We'll grab you at 3."
hahahahahaha good one JB....also intrigued to see someone who apparently was BOG in the GF kicking 7 goals rated by Twomey at 29.......what pick did Sidebottom go for? Edit 11 and Beams(capt} 29.

Sorry was meant to be linked to the post above.

Take Brayshaw at one, the other Brayshaw in the rookie draft and then we have three of them, enticing for the fourth one later. ;)
