Very interesting response to a positive suggestion? This is becoming an increasingly poor attempt at creating a troll account.
WOW!Do you realise that even if you are writing anything of substance that nobody is going to listen because of your dismissive writing style?
You come across like a complete dickhead.
Thats it...that was quite a countdown actually, as it looked like he may have fallen a couple more spots.....quite exciting, mind you I was on my third pinot grigio by then, celebrating the first three picks.hey mate you saying we had oriignally preferred petruccle orrr he was on our list after Wooler?

To those that enjoy enlightened converse,
To those haters of independent thinking and opinions, please feel free to use ignore option and cocoon yourself in the ignorance of the sycophant pr squad.
To those that enjoy enlightened converse,
Any comments on the logic of tying down our best intercept marker in Andrews last year.
The pressure he could of relieved with is marking and dominance of the backhalf last year would of help a lot, imo.

I got that from your response to him actually. Usually I just ignore TBD's poor attempts at reductio ad absurdum. However when you then complained about management not overseeing an Andrews positional shift, I got very confused. The management who should be overseeing that is Fagan and Noble. If the board (incl CEO) are interjecting at that level, then they shouldn't be on a board. That's not their job. Your suggestion that they should be preventing that would be such micromanagement as to cripple the club.
And yes, I know, 15 scores over 100, worst in the league. Problem is, I'm happy for us to give up 15 scores over 100 a season if we're scoring 100 a game ourselves at a higher rate. Of course we're giving up a lot of points, our game style is shifting to a faster, more attacking style.
No one is debating that we aren't a great club yet. We won the spoon. Of course we didn't have a good season. But look at where we are going. I'm pretty pessimistic about our prospects long term under the current AFL trade rules, but even I think we've seeing a decent amount of growth and development in the last 12 months, with the prospect for a lot more in the next 12 months.
While I agree the football dept should not be interfered with on a weekly basis.
However management has a part to play in correcting an errant football dept when a ploy the football dept have adopted continues to bring poor results.
Imo, Management should of asked some questions at the bye last year, questions like,
Does it seem to you opponents small forwards are scoring to readily?
Small defenders seem to be getting beaten for speed week in week out?
Change needed?
Tying down Andrews with an opponent, good idea?
Would we be better with Andrews dominating the backhalf with his intercept marking (helping everone else out)
Do we agree 100+ plus scores against in the second half of the year should not be tolerated?
I find the irony of you demanding a response to a particular part of your post delicious given your repeated ignoring of others' questions designed to point out your silliness.
You believe people who don't engage with you aren't enlightened enough to grapple with your mind boggling concepts?
I think it's because you come across as an absolute flog.

There's a large difference between opinions and facts and expressing your opinion as a fact is a very good way for people to ignore what you're saying. Especially when you're dismissive of others opinions.
And yes, Andrews has to learn how to defend. He can't be a loose defender for his entire career. Look at Rance. He still takes the second best key back. But with experience he's learned when to peel off and effect the play. I'd expect we'd be hoping for both Andrews and McStay to learn this skill.

We dissagree,
"And yes, Andrews has to learn how to defend. He can't be a loose defender for his entire career."
Yes he can, and should!
You might be able to tell, I'm of the opinion tying Andrews down was the biggest mistake of 2017.
A rookie mistake!
Any see McGovern being tyed down by his football dept?
I don't.
Do you think that we would have won that 1st game against Gold Coast last year if Harris didnt do the job he did on Lynch that day?Ps, got anything intelligent to write about the logic of tying down our best intercept mark in Harris?
Seems to me whoever plays at fullback gets a big advantage of Harris providing chop out and dominating back half should he be kept free.
Lets hope football dept improves this year.
It's been my experience in forums like this that when haters start attacking the man or their grammer you have won the argument.Could have.
I'm ignoring the rest of your appalling sentence structure. If you want to paint yourself as the paragon of enlightenment perhaps you could put some effort into making yourself understood. Or perhaps you're on such a high plane that us mere mortals are unable to decipher your commandments.

Any football point you would like discuss calmly?
