This year we had 39 senior players and 5 rookies. We have delisted 7 senior players and upgraded 2 rookies. We only need 4 in the draft, not 5.

As I posted earlier there are players like Hayes Balta Clavarino Coleman-Jones Krueger that should be available so we'd still have a good chance of landing KPPs. But it doesn't matter, my suggestion is never going to happen, I knew that when I posted it, but I put it forward as what I would do to ensure that we had the chance to both land Naish and get 2 KPPs that I want to see us get.

The way everyone has reacted you'd think that I have some sort of pull in what the club does and that what I suggested here is actually what the club is going to do.

Yeah but I still don’t get your point. You said your idea was so we get naish and 2 talls but the idea you put forward goes against actually getting 2 talls and naish. What would the advantage to picking naish at 17 actually be?

Think we had 40, Yarran was technically listed but not shown in the players section on our website. That page shows we now have 35 listed once Batch and Lennon are removed. Assumes Lloyd/Miles sign extensions with us of course.

So we reach for players just so we can say we got Naish cheaply.

Picking up players a few spots higher than we have rated is hardly reaching. Reaching is picking a player 20 spots in difference.

Thought Soldo did a good job for the games he played only 20 but held his own needs to build a tank.Will be better for the experience and will see improvement a keeper.

WHAT IF THE TWO KPP YOU WANT ARE TAKEN AT 18 AND 19????

Yep, think he was. We can take anywhere from 3-5 on draft night unless there are more changes (Drummond gets another year?).

The have been 7 delisted / retired players (Lennon, Batchelor, Hunt, Elton, Morris, Maric and Yarran) but have elevated 2 rookies Soldo and George
Therefore we have 35 senior players with 5 spots available in the National Draft and 1 rookie / 3 cat B rookie spots also available.

Taking a player at 17 when you rank them at 22 is NOT A REACH!!
A reach is when you take a player ranked as a 3rd or 4th rounder with a 1st or 2nd round pick
With 3 picks in the Top 25 we should be taking the best available with our first pick and then can use 20 & 25 either for needs or matching the Naish bid
What you are proposing is beyond insane and I can't decide if you sticking to your guns despite having this pointed out so many times is you winding everyone up, or if you are actually this stupid
