We won't go near Allen as we just delisted 2 that are like him.
My thoughts exactly. Knightmare has us taking him with pick 17 in his phantom draft.

Can't really understand why we'd pick him since we just delisted a slow, awkwardly sized forward with no defensive skills.

I certainly hope we don't pick him anyway.

I think i see where RT is coming from.

What makes him anything like Lennon? 3cm taller and might grow another inch. Probably a complete different player though

This no way near like Lennon.Agile quick and has speed.Still will grow couple cm to.Kid was the standout forward in championships.

This.
People obsessing over his height too much.
Same height must be same player?
His vertical leap and workrate are what shines from reports. Lennon was not delisted due to his height.

It is possible during the swap of picks (which helps get points next year for Oscar Brownless) that a gentleman's agreement was reached. West Coast is the biggest threat at 21 IMO.

Especially considering they could be into Allen as he is a WA boy (i think). So could go early on Naish to ensure we match and they get Allen? Not sure of their picks either.

Pretty much my thoughts. The concept of bidding on players "just to keep clubs honest" or for clubs to get involved with "revenge bidding" just sounds like really bad list management to me if the club doesn't genuinely want that player or if there are better players around with that pick.
If a club rated Naish the equal of another player they may go the Naish route to spite us.

If we get a Balta I hope we use him or Garth up forward. We have plenty more tall backs than forwards
Agree. We don't really need a key back at the minute. I'm all for grooming Garth to step up in the future, or Balta for that matter. But we desperately need to groom a young key forward. A few like Cal Moore but I'm not sold yet. If we get Balta, I hope it's as a forward

I think Griff and Moore can fill the hole a few times next year when we need that second tall and back up ruck. I doubt they’ll play together but should alternate in and out of the team. We can develop our new talls in the meantime

very good endurance and work rate too, something lenno never had. from what i've read, he comes across as a very level-headed kid who would get the best out of himself.

that being said, if one of balta or brander is still on the board at 17, i'd be leaning more that way

Which of the talls do people like the most?
Brander. Bloke is being criminally underrated. If he falls outside the top 10 someone has a massive bargain.

What's a people's thoughts on Hugh Dixion young KF from Tasse.Apparently we interviewed him.Got some good traits natural footballer.
I like him. I think the question mark was athleticism but apparently he tested ok. Bishop ?

Agility of 8.31s was far better than I expected, Speed 3.19s is slow - but seen worse for a tall. He isn't a mobile forward so no surprise.

He didn't run 2km/Yo-Yo.

As I've said for a while, I'd either take a key forward inside top 25 or don't take one at all.

Tend to agree with that. Dixon has good hands and skills but those numbers show he's probably athletically short of the mark.

Im starting to lean more and more to taking Richards if still available provided Bonar and the highly touted mids are already gone

I believe we will end up with 2 of Allen/Balta/Brander/Hayes

with Possibly McCartin /Clavarino as a late pick

Lennon wanted to be Steve Johnson, a guy who roamed from forward flank to midfield and through using height would create matchup headaches. Problem is he didn't have any of Johnson's tricks or athleticism. Allen seems to be more of a third tall who roams for his kicks but still plays as a tall on occasions. I don't think his height will be as big of an issue as people think, in fact it could be a weapon as he'll have a lower centre of gravity which, when added to his agility and jump could make him a hard matchup. He may not be a pure beanpole goalsquare big pack mark guy but they're going out of style anyway. The trst though is will he have the physicality and toughness go go for grabs when he needs to.

Allen isn't slow and has good defensive skills. Lennon would have been delisted even if he was KPP height. No matter your height you have to show athleticism and intensity, something Lennon lacked.
