He is nothing like those blokes, big and slow who clunk grabs. Brander could start off as a wingman or HFF, like Roach did. He has played almost no TAC footy due to injuries last year and school/ representative footy this. So has little continuity as mentioned earlier. Had a few games at Bendigo late, but Bendigo were shot and finished on the bottom.

Thats fair enough,But surely as all the recruiters would know all this or is his slide only of the "experts" opinion?

Wasn’t Charlie Curnow caught drink driving on the eve of the draft? Don’t think Carlton regret picking him up.
Anything to do with attitude issues early days is just being ultra cautious. Just my opinion though.

I would still love to have this kid at Tigerland he has everything thats required to be a very good AFL player

If brander is there at 17 which im starting to think may be a possibility he is our man kid has serious talent.. As mentioned by bishop and a few others he has had no continuity with his football this year has had to play defence more often than not when the kid is clearly a CHF.. A few years learning from jack and we will have our self a gem

Who said the recruiters have gone off him, we don't really know. But as mentioned earlier, hasn't had the greatest year, just some good games especially at Champs, so he is a bit unknown, like most talls.

At this point most have him past our pick 25 mainly due to his contested possession numbers and the role he plays being an outside player not the type of player that clubs tend to use earlier picks on unless they have a few extra strings to their bow

Yeah, but he'd be considered a long term player. Picking him up means that you may be able to fill a void down the track if players in his position either leave or regress. A solid option. Having said that, I prefer that no one bids on him until after our first 3 selections.

Pass if that happens.

That has to be his personal rankings not his predicted draft because Hayes will not be going close to 6 where as Murphy will probably be top 10

Yeah, I think it is his personal ranking. If I read correctly, he stated that it wasn't a mock draft as such.

Still, I wouldn't want it to eventuate like that. Hopefully Naish lasts until after our 3rd pick.
