i agree with this.

If we are bottom 4 next year either

- coach needs to be kicked out the door face first
- theres some serious cultral issue
- we are cursed

I think AT WORST we will finish 10th, but I think we should be aiming much higher.
The aim should be to win the premiership , but the reality is............

No one cares, lets just keep it on he subject, hey Brother.

*Don't respond to this because it will just lengthen your plan to derail a very simple idea and thread.
Yes, Master Narcissus. I hear and obey.

HArdwick will be gone by midyear. Dead man walking.

Then we will have to endure another rebuild. Considering we have had more re-builds than the west bank of Gaza we should be used it by now.

Hello 3 game membership
I've been hearing a lot of people saying they will downgrade to 3 game membership. This will hit the club financially and probably could have equate to something near DH pay out figure. The only plus is DH gets another lifeline to turn it around and people may upgrade later in the season. Can't wait for 2017 to kick off especially all the positivity when we beat Hawthorn in a practice match.

My expectation is that if by mid the bye next season Dusty hasn't signed then we have lost him to another club. I also expect around 12-13 wins and Rioli and Markov to be hit with the curse of terrible second seasons. Graham will be a little surprise packet and could in turn force Miles out of the side.

We will go to the draft with 3 picks inside the first round (if we lose dusty) and also look at a big trade if that is the case

If we make finals and look like we are going to have success in the near future then I think Dusty will stay on. If we are mid range or worse then I think he'll leave. Regards to the Dusty situation we want to either do very well next year or very bad. Very well because he'll stay or very bad so that if he leaves as a RFA we'll get a very early pick. The worst situation is if we finish mid range and we only get pick 8~10 as compo.

I expect to win the premiership and I expect everyone at the club to have the same expectation. Anyone with any other expectations can, as Tony Jewel would say, "go and get f#cked!"
Our back half is good, but you'd think we'd have to kick near 100 points more often than not to make the finals.

Where are our 15 goals coming from?

After the 'bye' in Rd 17 vs EFC, we kicked 5 vs Hawks, 3 vs GWS, 14 vs Pies, 12 vs Cats, 6 vs Saints, 7 vs Swans
Average 7.8 goals

15 goals...I want to believe....

I expect to be disappointed. It should be met regardless of what 'disappointment' actually means.

Tiger, you made me laugh out loud. And you're absolutely spot on. 35 years in of disappointment in a row is a very strong form line. Why should this year be any different?

To be fair, you don't see too many teams kick 15 goals when the opposition kicks 25

My expectation will be, based on getting 2 more inside/outside starting mids, returning injured best 22 players and hopefully the recruitment of better coaches so we have synergy on the field. This more than anything is the key, and without it is why there was no fwd movement of the pill. How far that gets us up the ladder, in an extremely competitive comp im not sure. Could be anything from 6 to 12.

Dusty will be signed early,Wouldnt suprise me if its done before the season starts with the Yarran dollars being freed up
Dusty will be #1 Priority and 4 miilion 5 years wouldnt suprise

Expect a good start to the year based on renewed vigor from the personnel changes. Then a taper off in form as other coaches work out what (if any) new tactics required to beat us. Then a couple of surprise wins towards the end of the season to end up 10-12th. Caracella appointed head coach. At least 1 VFL finals win. Optimism remains intact with a belief that with astute drafting and delistings and maybe a marquee signing, 2018 will be a return to the finals.

My thoughts exactly.

Tiges list is not good enough to do damage in the 8 and we'd be better off blooding as many kids as possible and looking towards 2018 - 19. Draft the best youth and marquee players available. We want consistent effort Week in and week out. Too many list cloggers at RFC. It will take 2 years to clean them out.

I will take two years on the back of seven wasted years.

I don't believe a lot of the middle tier teams are much stronger than us (eg. Port Adelaide, Collingwood, North, Geelong etc.) so getting wins over these sorts of clubs will be crucial. We will continue to put away bottom clubs as we have superior top end talent than a lot of teams, but it will be our lack of depth and the dependance on their development that will determine where we finish, I'm thinking between 7th-12th.

A lot went wrong for us this year, I'm interested to see how we bounce back because I honestly don't think we're a bottom 6 club, or a top 6 club for that matter. We're somewhere in the middle, and that's probably the worst place to be.

People bitch about us being mediocre. Jings, mate, I would be happy for us to actually achieve mediocrity.
But I do have strong hopes for 2017.
To win a final.

When certain things change teams can all of a sudden become more resilient and hungry to achieve and not let each other down, They fight harder and just dont give up and stick to their roles like never before - This happened with geelong a few years back and the rest is history

New coaching team and few more determined harder players combined with commitment and buy in from the entire group could really dramatically change a clubs fortunes.

Caddy,Prestia,Nankervis along with development from Markov,Rioli,Short,Menadue,Cellis,Graham and some re defining roles of players like Vlastuin into the midfield and perhaps Lennon pulling the digit out could easily be the turning point that redefines our teams goals and direction.
