1) it's geelongs game, no issue playing it at cat park

2) no shit we cop a shit draw after finishing 13th

3) This ain't a soft run either, cats at cat park, dogs and Kangas at etihad, gws/gc/crows/port all away. We willo well to win 10
Agree 1-2-3.
Wouldn't matter if we played Geelong and Norf at Kardinia Park, Etihad, MCG, Tasmania, VFL Park, China or Candlestick Park ... we always lose.

The usual Rd 1 loss to the scum hurts morale but we won it this year.
Rd 2 loss to Pies was the killer this season IMO.
Winning both would be a pleasant way to start.
we havent lost it since 2012 :drunk:

I'm not a negative nellie like you, i can see us being 4-1 heading to adelaide in round 6.
I'm not a negative Nellie either, we will beat Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, who else?

So 4 games at Sh1tihad. Given punt road is same dimensions we should try and at least bank some of those games... Only 10 games at the G....

Common this is a dead set joke . I m emailing the club about why the glory be they put up with being sent down to the cattery almost every season . We have 70,000 members . It is a disgrace as 20 others have already stated . As a club and supporter base we constantly get shat on by farking Every campaigner . do we deserve any better ? Probably not unfortunately .
Didn't play in Geelong last season or 2015, or 2014, or 2013. Please explain every year?

why no return game against bummers or pies ?

this isnt a very good fixture for maximising crowds

the afl are gonna lose money with this fixture where they have low drawing clubs in prime time fixtures

wont happen again

I never really believe these assessments of good or bad draws are valid ie teams jump up and down, and we are judging this by yesteryear performance and not what may happen in the future. Having said that, we have a tough draw to start with potentially being not the favourite in 6 out of 11 games. We need to get early wins to build momentum, so this may be defining for DH.

I had us 2-7 last in 2016 when the flowersinffers were talking top 4 , I can't see the wins at the start of the season, Adelaide in Adelaide? Melbourne....we are ther bitches, Footscray.?

Not a bad draw playing Carlton, Brisbane, StKilda and Freo twice. Chance to make the eight.

Now that I look at the draw post-bye, it is not too bad. Tough month at the end but this could be a solid draw if we're a decent side.

Lol, you are a neg Nellie!! In the draw though, you are right

We will lose the etihad games against Norf and the dogs, cats at cat park, and gws/port/crows/freo away. Add the hawks and swans, that's nine losses before we even start pulling apart the ones we have somewhat of a chance

Im trying to get odds on 3-5 Maybe even 3-6 as round 9 is against the giants

If we lose to Carlton and Collingwood in rounds 1 and 2, then we could potentially enter the bye with only 1 win (against Brisbane let's just say). We just can't start of badly

Don't do that dude. Thinking we will lose games is one thing. Cheering for them to lose is not cool

I had those two as wins, but anything is possible

Don't give a shit about how fair or unfair the draw seems. What I care about is the club winning enough games to play finals again. So what if we're drawn to go to Geelong and other clubs aren't just win enough games to qualify for finals. That should be our aim not looking for excuses about unfairness of the draw. Too many times this club and us fans look for excuses for failing. Time to just get on with it. I

Mate I would rather do my dough than watch us lose, but if there's a chance to make a buck , why not, my payout in 2016 would have been 2000 for an outlay if 20 so it's an easy bet

Bit of research past 2 seasons us vs Geelol and the blues and bummers

2016

Carl vs Geel 33k
Rich vs Geel 45k
Ess vs Geel 42k and 29k

2015

Carl vs Geel 32k
Rich vs Geel 45k
Ess vs Geel 40k

Also we have a shitload more members than both of these clubs :drunk:

The non good friday eve Carltooon thursday night game wont draw over 76k

the following week we have the magpoos on good friday eve that will draw great but the pies fans wont show up again due to getting gaped in rd 1 (this time by footscray)
That's not good Friday eve, just an stock standard Thursday. We all have to go to work the next day, it will flop crowd wise as no one in Melbourne wants to go to the Footy and have to go to work the next day. It's too late and you can't take the kids.
It maybe a TV success, works better than Monday's.

Keep Thursday nights for Adelaide and Brisbane etc, even Geelong would work with an interstate team.

As our home game we have been screwed over, I think we will be lucky to get 70,000 there,

has Burge been sacked yet ? if not then we will start shit again

Exactly .. the draw has great, good and poor components for ALL teams. Get over it! Being precious about going to Geelong for the first time in four years is nonsense.
