Any chance Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood could play in Geelong next year? They are so much bigger than us. NOT
Cmon now, Carlton only have 22k less members than us. So it makes sense they haven't gone to Simmonds in 19 years.

Games at Simmonds since 1993 for the 'BIG 4'

Richmond: 2017, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2001, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1994, 1993
Carlton: 1997, 1996,
Collingwood: 1999, 1995
Essendon: 1993

I would LOVE a please ****ing explain.

Are we justified in being angry and afraid about having to play Geelong down there when we have just lately been gloating over skinning them and mocking them for being so weak? Are we confident or not of at last breaking the hoodoo?

Pardon my asking, Goldy, but do you live off the grid?
I live in country Victoria ..... it takes me less time to get Geelong than it does the MCG.
But seriously, people whinging. It's a boutigue stadium - and nicely done - that holds 30,000 people, about 45 minutes from Melbourne.
You would think people had to travel to f***** Nathalia or Yackandandah to a ground that holds 14 cars.
We haven't played their since 2012 and people are acting as if the world just ended.

Angry over a the unfair bullshit of us playing at Simmonds while worse teams that will pull smaller crowds and have less members haven't played there for 20 years.

I'd rather our draw than Geelong's any day!

Those complaining about no Friday night games. Are we all pretending that Thursday night games don't basically equal Friday night games? :drunk::drunk::drunk:

We kick off the first and second round of the season. Sounds like prime time to me...:drunk::drunk::drunk:
We had seven last year ... and we squandered the chance.

Bloody hell, that's ridiculous

WELL don't f***** go! Seriously, you don't get two Saturday night or Friday night games against Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood every year, zero interstate trips to anywhere but Brisbane each year and a handful of games and a game every second week against Brisbane at the MCG. The draw has pros and cons for all and we are whinging about going to Geelong once in five years!

Not a great deal from a commercial point of view, but I', not blaming the AFL. I blame the coach and our shit game plan and unwatchable style of footy. Will be VERY interesting to see what style of footy we play early in 2017.
I'm livid about having to travel to the shanty town.
Thank you ... finally someone who sees our draw is a making of our own deplorable game plan and style.

In the end it just comes down to luck.

1. Some teams will be hit with mass injuries
2. Some teams will have shockers in front of goal and lose
3. One team will be kissed on the dick and play teams who are out of form and injury hit every week.
4. One team will be rammed hard and play teams who are in red hot form every week.
5. Some teams will get teams who are red hot first half of the season and some teams will get them when they are stinking it up second half of the season. ( nm 2016 )
6. Same as point 4 but reverse the first half and second half of seasons ( rich 2014 )
7. The hardest draw could become the easiest draw and likewise the easiest draw could become the hardest.
8. What happened in 2016 does not equal what will happen in 2017.

Will get to see lids carve us a new one twice...!
AFL just wanted that to happen and the media will be lapping it up.
#weareeveryonesgrandfinal

Actually our team away from the spotlight on Friday Nights may be a blessing in disguise.

Back to a watchable game style next year hopefully.

We played Geelong at the G this year when Dusty took Danger to school. Now he can do it on his own turf.

The best thing about going to geelong is dusty will tear them apart. The cats fans can then remeber how good ablett was and say they just saw how good dusty is and wonder if dangerfield was the best option.
How wonderful if dusty grabs the game by the scruff of the throat and tears the cats to shreds - just like the epic seen with darth vadar from star wars.

Afl are kidding right, 11 mcg games collingwood 14
And ******* Geelong again, does any other big club go down there to support those hillbilly gooses pissed right off with that.
And 4 Etihad games FMD
Got hit with the shit stick is what I think
And dream draw my arse will be lucky to win a game
Collingwood have to play 2 Etihad Home games vs our 1.
The difference at the G is they get to play Geelong there when it is the cats home game and with 1 less interstate trip they play more co-tenants there (only play lolnorf at ES and get Saints and WB once both as Home MCG).

So other than the Geelong thing, I think it's just how the draw has worked out.

Having said that it would have been interesting if we would have had to play WB or lolnorf at ES if we had any home games against them.
