lets hope so i hate docklands stadiumSo with the AFL close to buying Etihad, does that mean that we can move to the G? Or at least get more games at the MCG?

As many 1.10 Sundays at Etihad as possible thanks.
I didn't think boncer34 went to that many gamesI'd love Sunday games if there were far less screaming children in attendance.
I tend to love everything more when this is the case.I'd love Sunday games if there were far less screaming children in attendance.
Certainly not the odd one out. I really enjoy etihad and it feels like our home ground. We've had some amazing matches there over the years as well.i know I'm the odd one out but I'm actually a fan of Etihad.

Dont get me wrong, the G is a special place and i would like a 7-4 split of games at the G to etihad. But etihad horrible, I don't feel that way at all? Playing teams like brisbane, gws, fremantle, port and wce can all be played at etihad without a worry. You don't realise just how horrible Etihad is until you go to a big match at the G

how are the ramps at etihad different from the ramps at the G?An arvo with the roof open is decent but it's a sterile atmosphere when closed, also makes it weird to breathe. The seat covers at one end are atrocious, scoreboards make the viewing terrible. The ramps are bad for me with my weak ankles, need to be upgraded to escalators.

never had issue with the scoreboards at etihad, where the ones at the G these days are obscured by the stands themselves
The atmosphere has more to do with crowd numbers (% of capacity, not raw numbers) and the game rather than wether the roof is open or not
Agree with this - with the exception of the restricted view next to the scoreboard, level 3 of Etihad is a great view (level 2 on the wing is probably as close to the action as you can get, but you do pay top dollar for those seats). Level 4 at the G is ok for the first 15 rows or so, but is much further back than Etihad.Love the view and atmosphere at Etihad - Get the wrong seats at the MCG and it's like watching ants play - Definitely feel you are closer to the action at Etihad - You can't beat an indoor stadium.

We haven't played Melbourne twice in a season since 2005.
Heaven forbid we might actually have to play them at Etihad!!
We've actually requested to play them RD 1 at the G, so unlikely to happen.
