Ah. Thought it might have been the "DON'T PLAY ON DON'T PLAY ON" impartial commentary game.
:hearts: Roosy.

No, 2014 was the 'Hurley can get his neck almost snapped and not get a free' game.

There was also 2012. ****ING DEMPSEY.

So ....again....we go to Lovechild #1 at the SCG.

When was the last time we played those red n white turds here?

Will make last four in Sydney. We help fund these *******!

Realistically, where would you guys be happy to finish?
Realistically? It's a good draw. We have some very, very good players returning.

But they have had a year out of the game, and who knows how long it will take for them to regain touch.

Sneak a finals appearance, and we've done well.

Hard to gauge where you'll go next year, easier draw should help. If you think there's a chance of a finals appearance, I guess you're treating '15 as an aberration?

2013 and 2015 were both write offs for different reasons.

2013 we were playing with a weird emotion, a siege mentality. 2015, we started well enough and then once the WADA appeal was announced, well it was pretty much goodnight. 2014 is the nearest thing to a normal season we've had environment wise out of the last three seasons, not that it was really normal by most standards, but it's probably when things were at that middle ground where the story was slightly less hot and in your face as it was in 2013, but also not quite as drawn out as it had become by 2015.

And we did well enough to make finals in 2014.

2015, we were without Myers for an entire year. Hocking for most of the year. Colyer, Watson and Bellchambers for nigh on half a year.

I don't think we'll be as good as some here might, but I'm interested to see what they can now do free of the saga finally.

Round 1 v. Hawthorn will hopefully be my first game in Melbourne ever. And my son's as well :) He's still learning the game (hells bells, we both are!), cacked himself when I called Hawks the poo and the wee though.

I've been calculating flights and accommodation etc. for the last couple of hours. Trying to keep a lid on it.

Solid appraisal/10. My time here is done.

To be honest I pretty much sat on the fence, dude. ;)

But I guess that's the thing. We don't really know, there are a lot of unknowns. The anticipation of seeing how it pans out, at least, is exciting. And given the rubbish of the last few years, that's not an unwelcome feeling.

There's always one.

We had you fence sit. French has gone full lid off now we need a down in the dumps bottom four prediction and we are done.

Personally i think we will have a average start drop a game or 2 we should have won then build into the later half of the year.
If its a tight year we just miss out on the 8 if teams are falling over around us we slip in.

Sydney aren't the love child. That's 100% Hawthorn.

off on a tangent I've seen the bayeux tapestry then had the best steak I have ever had at the butcher/restaurant just nearby.

If by "nearby" you mean Rouen then yeah, their stakes are infamous.

How many FTA games are there per round? I'm looking at the HUN's print out yesterday, and after the first two rounds they have only 3/9 games per round being listed as being on Seven.

Please tell me that's an error, someone.

THERE will almost certainly be 11 fewer games broadcast on free-to-air television in 2017.

On Thursday, AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan conceded Channel 10 appears unlikely to take up an option to return to the sport it broadcast for 10 years between 2002 and 2011
