2017 Fixture

So only games on Sat or Sunday. Pretty rare you'd think.

From a weekly routine POV surely that will help the players with traveling/ training days not being all over the place.

Win a few early games, gain some momentum and get into a nice groove with the schedule. Of course if your weekly routine is losing then it won't make much difference.

Pretty cool to see us finally play Essendon over here. I'm not sure if I'll actually be in the country to catch it but if so it'll be good to finally see a game with some Essendon mates that is actually competitive.

Not a bad draw. We're still going to be shit but there's a good mix of matches there.

It is disappointing we won't be involved in the final match at Subi but how many of us expected us to be? I still hope we try and do something like Arsenal did with Highbury, and have themed matchdays to help send the old girl out. One day could be 'Country Day,' 'Victorians Day,' 'Pav Day,' 'Indigenous Day' etc.

Green - win
Red - loss
Black - 50:50

I've got 8 probably wins, and 6 probable losses. If we win half of the 50:50 games, we should make the finals. Those first four games are so critical for us: if we can get 2 or 3 wins out of them, we're set for a promising season. If we're 0-4, we might as well plan for 2018.

Not sure why Richmond away and Hawthorn at home are marked as losses? Feel like the tough games are Rds 10, 19 and 21. The rest are winnable.

I never have faith for us to do anything well at the MCG. And Hawthorn is our bogey side - plain and simple...I can't remember the last time we beat them.

To be fair, that TV schedule is for Victoria - of course there'll be more Victorian clubs shown.

Not too worried about no friday nights we never win on friday anyway certainly under ross our record is poor.

Only 2 channel 7 games both Saturday nights which means no BASIL hopefully BT and richo still do saturday nights.

As a sydneysider 2 games here is good for me maybe not so good for the team as the swans and giants are tough to beat.

Trivia fact
Last time we played essendon in melbourne Nat Fyfe still hadnt made his AFL Debut yet.

Four 6-day breaks is managable - but when we have a 6 day break and our opponent has an 8 day break, is when they are crap.

Dogs in rd 3 is 6 v 8 iirc

Overall pretty happy - but we need to drastically improve to make the most of the beneficial fixture, otherwise we might as well have a fixture from hell

The finals series next season will be played at Domain Stadium, providing either team gets a home final, so there is a chance that we could still play the last game there.

So the first night derby for many years. West Coast home game, hopefully their fans behave themselves this time so it doesn't get taken away on extended hiatus again.
There was one this season just finished mate...

Forgotten the first derby this year already?

The fixture once again is a disgrace. 15 Friday night games for Bulldogs/Swans is ridiculous. I want variety on Friday nights.

All teams should be given equal exposure to the public. This bullshit wouldn't fly in international competitions.
