FWIW - I've got JJK @ 95 and Treloar @ 115 so think you have this ;)
Haha yep, same here
JJK going down a couple, Trellers going up a bit

I better start thinking of the sig now :D

Reasons I'm not taking Roughead :

  • Our list is 98% fit (Ceglar ACL)
  • ^^ We will manage Rough, we did okay without him last year. Plenty of talls who can play forward and kick goals. Plenty of medium/shorts as well.
  • ^^^ We are aiming for top 4 again, and why wouldn't we? If we make the finals, a rested and prepared list is the key.
  • He is returning from immunotherapy. While nobody knows the exact impact it will have, it will surely have some impact. Getting up and ready for an AFL match week to week is hard enough for some players who are 100% fit.
  • He's not THAT cheap. If he scores at a 73 average, his price will sit at 367k until his bye. If he scores at 85, he'll only profit 50k until his bye and leave you scratching your head.
I can see why a lot of people are keen on him to balance their forward spend due to the lack of rookies. he is a gun player and one of my all time favourites, but I don't think he's a good SC selection in 2017.

As soon as Rough misses, and he will miss, you'll be taking a rookie score. Even if he does average 93, that rookie score will bring Rougheads perceived average down 4-5 points per game missed ( as you will likely be copping a 60-65 from a rookie ).

Great analysis. I think that same mentality should apply to all mid-pricers. They are either there to be a keeper or a stepping stone and according to what you've worked out Roughead may very well work out to be neither.

...or both

Think everyone on here is underestimating Taberner, has the potential to be the #1 forward in the AFL.

i know people who are serious when they say that, so understandable mistake

EDIT: brain is also fried, so operating at around 10% capacity
That's still pretty good.
Even the geniuses amongst us only operate at 15%

That's a myth.

My forward structure 3-0-5

Dahlhaus & Macrea - can you not have these guys?

Steele - risky pick, and may change, but his scoring has been very good and I can see him improving in a big way, whether that gets him to top 10 forward I'm not sure, and that will be what is needed.

A host of rookies (including McCarthy), hope they are all playing!
