It's time to get mad!
Exactly .....i have two positions i can't seem to get my head around to find a solution, without stuffing up the rest of my team, which i like

Can i take the best 20 scores each week and forget about the last 2?

I can't see why people are going with WHE. In his 5 years he has only reached sc tonne 3 times. And reached the 90s twice. In 2 of those games he reached 100 he kicked 5 goals. So he would need to kick bags of goals to crack the 100.
All this while GWS were starting from scratch. So he should have had plenty of chances.
And his pre-season wasn't great.

People aren't picking him because of his scoring potential, it's due to the lack of rookies with decent job security.

Currently have Macrae and Dahl. Worth having the two or downgrade Macrae to a mid-pricer/rookie and upgrade Watson or Geroege Horlin Smith to a premo?

Do we reckon Touk Miller is a keeper? Right now in my team I've got Dahlhaus, Buddy and Greene as definite keepers, Touk and Roughy who might be, and $48,200 in the kitty. Do I upgrade on of those two to something a bit more stable?

I currently have a similar setup of Dahl, Buddy, Greene. I like Touk but I traded him to a Steele and banked the rest. I think you have to keep Roughy in at his price and not many Rookie forwards to pick from this season.

I've currently swapped touk out for nank for a bit of ruck cover but have only just looked at steele's stats. Really tempting. Will he play that kind of role all season?

Yes he will.

My query is will he keep it up all season

i think you are looking at this all wrong. Steele doesnt have to keep it up all season, he only have to keep it up until his bye or when you decide to trade him out to a proper premo.

Never can i remember a mid pricer keeping premium (95+) scoring up all season.

If he keeps that kind of scoring up that we saw in the JLT into the regular season, he will make 150k quite quickly and quite easily. Then trade him out to a proper premo.

I know trades are gold, but as a few have stated, 30 is a lot for the season IF you use them correctly. You will inevitably have the couple which you need to use on injured players, but if you build a team with those risks minimised, then you should be all sweet.

'Will they keep up their scoring WHILE they are in my team?' is the question you should be asking

Yeah I see that as a waste. Each to their own though mate.

I went through hell with injuries last year hence why I'm being extra safe this year (bye Gaz) :(

thats fine man.

i dont as if you think Steele will average more than say Buddy for the first 10 weeks, why not save 200k and get Steele and upgrade that player you arent so keen on but have to get due to having Buddy?

again, this is complicating the situation quite a bit

Nat Fyfe in 2011 when listed as a forward.

Started at 353k, Peaked at 506,600 in round 20.

Played 21 games averaging 108 for the year.

With all due respect, I don't think Steele is quite in the category of a Fyfe or Bontempelli.
I am looking at starting Steele though, but wouldn't expect those numbers.

What does everyone see buddy average this season
Probably same as last year .....but on checking his stats from 2016, he tends to start off with a string of consistent over 100 scores ....then tapers of somewhat

I kept switching between Macrae and Buddy ......chose Buddy in the end over the consistent Macrae only because Buddy can go occasionally really huge

Quite? ....that maybe the seasons understatement ;)
