Since I'm going big in my midfield I'm looking at picking 4 players between 350 and 450k. I've pretty much locked in Ryder and Heeney and am looking at 2 of Roughy, Bennell, De Goey, Miller, D.Smith, Wingard, Daniel
Devon and Chad, they'll go 90+

I'll be taking 2 of the following: DSmith, Wingard, Heeney and Ryder
It'll be a last minute decision

Will Chad + Paddy in the forward line create any Rd 9 issues?
Probably hey
Assuming he's going ok, bringing Ryder in in round 10 for F6/R3 is looking good; he'll be somewhere between $450k-$500k

Have CD confirmed if round 9 will be best 18 or not?
Don't see why it would be, there's only two teams with the bye so that's just 11.1% of the player pool unavailable for selection (as opposed to 33.3% during the multi-bye rounds).

In rounds 4, 5, 6, 16 and 19 of 2011 three teams had the bye (17% of player pool unavailable) and no best 18. Of course there were other concessions such as three-man DEF, MID and FWD benches and four extra trades.

On a POD hunt up front...

Cloke...what can he put out this year?
already like him better without the PIES jumper on.I think if he gets up the ground he could be a fwd option this year. his field kicking isn't all that bad and if 1on1 will out mark most.has scored well in a few games in previous years...some real bad ones too. He could chop out in the ruck as well with third man up change, we could see a lot of FWD's help out this year...
early days I know, but does anyone have an idea on what role he might play at the dogs....think he'd be wasted sitting deep fwd and fighting 2 guys all the time.
or is Stringer more likely to go up the ground....probably ay?

Higgins/Christensen/and a cheap J.Elliott all being looked at.
Roughy penciled in atm.

Because fwd so weak this year, I figure may as well stick all the risky picks down there and hope for the best... Ryder Chad Bennell Roughy Lids Heeney, will pick 4 of those I reckon, and pick safer other lines

POD up forward I'm definitely biased but I'm considering Daniel Menzel. Didn't pick him last year knowing he would miss games at times through rest or soreness. But with another full preseason under his belt he should be pushing for a full season, he can go big scoring wise, and if the Cats can improve their ball use going inside 50 he'll get more marks, kicks & goals.

The main problem is that I think he's priced around Heeney & Ryder who obviously aren't PODs but are great selections.

If Bevo had no problem dropping Macrae, Boyd, Crameri, Stringer and Hunter he won't have any issues dropping Cloke if he has a bad patch of form. That alone is enough to steer clear.

One I want to monitor throughout the pre-season is Brayshaw. Might be all on my lonesome there, though.
I had him at F4 last pre-season

He could easily avg 85-90 playing midfield for the dees

Not my finest moment...
Too much time on me hands and the head goes a bit:eek:
Looking too hard for a POD...it ended here.

Yeah, mid/fwd DPP, 353k.

That's worth a big big watch

I rate Lids the best fwd easily, so everyone above him, imo, is over-valued.
I'll have Lids and 3 others priced below him who are known players + rookies

Very true...
Clokes recent output/consistency has been very poor making him a big chance of getting a rest.
Fwds in the 300-400k are hard to make a case for.Roughy the standout ATM.

How is Ruffy a standout?

Of all he is 100% the most likely to be rested and the absolute last fwd I'll be picking
