Any Hawks fans able to shed some light on Gunston? Roughead and Vickery up forward surely means he A) gets the second best defender and B) moves up the ground more?

If the help around him can stay fit and find some form, it'll help his scoring
I always love when he drops back to defend and takes a big pack mark

He'll be a good POD, 90-100 imminent

Though if you believe the Hawks will drop off as a team, then his goal tally will probably drop

I'm considering him but only because
1. Hill left and word is he will get a run on the wing
2. The forwards are weak as piss this year with only a handful averaging over 90 so it's less risky going for a Gunston type this year.

Thoughts on Riley Knight? Looking at going light on forward premos - Dahl, Ryder, Roughy, Knight, Bowes, McCluggage + 2 or something like that... seems to be a few rookies there atm.
Midprice madness always gets me...

Don't know too much about Knight but he might struggle to get a game.
McCarthy might be a better bet at that price range.

Anyone thinking of starting weak in the forwards? Unlike down back where there is seemingly a plethora of good premo options, forwards cupboard seems pretty bare, have varying levels of doubt on just about everyone bar Dahl.

This is what I'm thinking.
Dahl locked away then JJK Lids Macrae F2
Ryder F3
Hopefully there's plenty of FWD playing rookies this year.

You always have your breakout risks but the only ones I like are Heeney and Caddy.
Then there's the fallen spuds I mean premos like Wingard and Motlop but their inconsistency scares me.

Toying with idea of starting Dahl and Ryder, the rest rookies. Will all depend on how many decent forward rookies play round one, the cash saved lets me grab another premo mid which I like the look of. Pre season comp will show if there's enough rookies to make it viable.

Anybody taking the risk on Aaron Francis?

Very, very awkwardly priced at $260k. Would have to blitz it in the pre-season matches for me to consider him. He's not really a cash cow, but if all the talk is true, and he averages 75-80+ he would be a good option to start early on in the season, DPP too, and later down the track keep him at F/D7 if he continues to play.

Best case scenario he averages 80 imo. Most likely it'll be around 65-70, I would think that there will be much cheaper speculative picks, with similar upside come round 1 next year. Although if he tanks early on at least he has the value to allow you to jump onto an expensive rookie that you may have overlooked in your initial team

Still not a certain starter in our best 22. Even if he is, will he average more than what he is priced at?

Top 10 pick from last year? I'd think fantasy coaches would have their eye on everyone who goes top 10 in the draft.
You'll have to excuse OhhhhhCyril he's an alcoholic from India.
