I think Chad has had a full preseason. The club has been pretty tight lipped this preseason unlike the last couple. Monfries has had a shoulder injury so I wouldn't assume Gus gets a game and plays forward. Anyway, I'm expecting a more committed and cohesive season from Port this year. We have a ruckman this year! Chad plays better when games matter. On the flip side, players with concussion histories are obviously a risk.

Think he played as more of a utility along the wing and back flank. Crouch bros in the guts instead of him and Danger. I'd expect more of the same.

Just think Dahlhaus is auto-pick for now. FWD depth is so thin. He is a magnet when on. Should just fall quality ball at will in that side with tails in air. Fully fit should crush.

Many would say he is just shit !! I don't necessarily subscribe to that, but something definitely changed. Watching it seemed like he was playing more as a high half forward than a midfielder, but that heat map doesn't show that at all. It would be a brave man that selects him in their Supercoach side. There is a lot of talk regarding his place in the side and being best 22.

The heatmap has more yellow in the forward 50 so I'd take it as when he wasn't on the ball he was just forward of it as the next in line between the mids and the forwards.

The year before he went 91 but only played 14 games. In 2013 102 @ 22 games and the year in between only 90 and again with only 19 games.
So based on unknown role and only one year without injury at an elite level it's a big old pass I reckon.

I think it's safe to say i'd change to Almond Milk before i bought Richie Douglas into my team.

It's not just the past 6 games for me. I see him as a very SC friendly player. Runs and carries, bounces and good DE.

I see him playing the JJ role this year with stints in the guts. I don't expect him to Ave 110+ but with pretty crap fwd options I see him going 95-100 and end up a top 8 - 10 fwd. And with a starting price of 430k it makes him too hard to pass up.

Gold Coast got reamed most weeks, with the players you mentioned they'll be a heap better and score more points as a team

He had a very poor year and many of us think he should have been dropped and may be on the cusp of being so this year. Talk of a role change this year to move to half back but Thommo also saying this. I would avoid.

For a similar price, behind Heeney and Touk for mine. Hasn't been durable thus far and most teams will already be loaded with injury risks in Fyfe, Beams Murphy swallow etc.
