True but he was never given a chance.
Stuck playing
Just on Roughead:

Over the JLT, he had a total of 3 shots on goal for 1 goal 2 behinds. Only practice games and probably just running more mid to get fitness up, but is he likely to kick less goals this year?

With Hawks maybe finding it harder to score than previous years will his goal kicking drop?

I looked back at 2015 and studied games where he kicked 1 goal or zero goals.

He had 10 games of 1 goal or less for an average of 80. That includes an outlier score of 150. Remove that and his average is 72. So he clearly needs to kick goals to score well.

I'm not certain we'll see Roughy get back to his absolute best, kicking bags and scoring 150's. Think he may average 80-85.
How many possessions did he get in those one goal or less games?

I'm starting to cool on him for a similar reason. However at his price I think the risk is worth taking

Worried Steele will burn out and may get dropped if that happens. He can't keep this up, he was playing for his job.

Yeah nah.
We've been smashed in clearances and constested ball the last few years.
He's filling a hole noone else on the list has been able to.
His only competition is koby stevens.

So far, koby is well off what steele has shown.

Even if koby were to warrant selection at some stage- the heat will be on guys like ross, newnes, dunstan just as much as steele.

He barely played in the forward line across the JLT. I see him spending more time in the midfield this season due to our shallow midfield depth. He wont kick as many goals this year but I see his possessions and tackles increasing due to more time in the middle. I am still taking him

Couldn't agree more. Absolute poison pick. I put a red line through him circa 2013-14 after another injury fluffed year at the dogs & barring one good run at it in 15' nothing'srealky changed. North aren't going to be strong either....yuck.

I agree, nothing has changed since 2013.

That's why I dance gangnam style to work, and spend my weekends planking.

I'll bet it does!
Can you please explain this concept to my newborn?

He seems to be struggling to grasp it.
Tell him daddy's Supercoach team is suffering.
I'm sure he will understand.

Hey guys where do we find player heat maps?

Would be interesting to see Steele's 2016 Heat Map. A lot of 'Starting forward' tags on FanFooty. Would help explain his poor scores and give more reason to a potential increase.

Macrae seems like such a vanilla pick in comparison to Roo despite the age and injury history. Looks in absolute ripper nick does Roo plus the role they've earmarked him for seems to be very SC friendly.
Yeah I'm cooling on Macrae.

Not necessarily in favour of Riewoldt, but cooling nonetheless.

Anyone know how long Papley and Rohan are out for?

Florent should have decent JS while those two are out. 16 possies, 10 contested, 58 SC from 59% against Saints is promising.

Over the 3 JLT matches, Steele averaged 19.3 touches, 9 contested, 9 tackles, 106.3 SC points from only 60% TOG

He's a CP and tackling monster, holy crap

It was the CP and tackle numbers that forced him into my team at Roughie's expense.
