Interested in others opinions, would the inclusion of Wilson and matera alone satisfy us? I personally think we need to pick up at least 1 more and or make a big move for tippet, watts or menzel
I would be totally satisfied with just Wilson and Matera. But also holding onto 5, next years 1st too, is a prerequisite.

If we down grade our first this year, it better be an awesome deal.

Looking forward, the 2019 off season should be interesting for Freo... A bunch of players come out of contract (eg Martin and Hogan). WA should have some really good draft prospects as well - given they won all of the u16 champs, the indigenous (KickStart) champs, and the diversity champs this year (those players will mostly be in 2019 draft). Plus we might have 3-4 academy players that year (Walker twins, Haddow etc). Could be a real super draft for Freo coming off what looks an amazing 2018 1st round draft a year earlier. Think if we get some high end quality in the 2017 & 2018 drafts (eg #5, 2018 1st round, Carter and hopefully O'Reilly) without giving up 2019 currency our list could be in the best shape ever come 2020.

edit - think I got that wrong on the academy players - Walker twins and Haddow are 2020 draft. Liam Henry is 2019. Anyway, that probably just makes both the 2019 and 2020 off seasons pretty interesting for us.

I personally think Wilson is worth downgrading pick 5 for. I really really really rate him.

In saying that, we've said pick 5 is off the table so unless we manage to turn some late picks/player into a pick in the 20s I really doubt GWS will budge.

What is the go with him? Is he looking to request a trade to victoria? Ive always kept a close eye on him, I like him id like to see him stay a docker.
Was offered 3 years at WB as a replacement for Stringer forward/midfield which Lloyd called an opportunity. We offered him two years but he may not feel he is guaranteed a spot in the best 22 and is open to a move if a deal can be done. Freo are happy to hold onto him though, but will work to get him to WB. We want pick 39 which will probably end up as 40.

Apparently we asked for pick #26

The problem has been from the very start (with the exception of about 10 games) that Croz has never played in a position that is favourable to his skill set.
His 10 or so games off half back were the best he has ever played, then suddenly in his wisdom RTB decides to stifle him and send him forward into a more defensive pressure / shut down role.

If he goes to the Dogs and they let him play the Bob Murphy role i can see him being another in the list of former dockers that turns into an All Australian.

Croz and #55 for #26 would be a good deal for both clubs I would have thought. But I could be over-valuing him. I just think if they really rate him enough to offer him 3 years and say "you will be the replacement for 'The Package'", they must REALLY rate him very highly, otherwise, why make an offer like that? Suggests to me that he's worth more than pick 40 to them.

I liked the role he played as a lead up half-forward in the last month of the season. His game against Ess was very good. People judge him on goals kicked only, but he does a lot of good stuff up the ground. Certainly helps in the link up. His missed set shots for goal this year were unforgivable though.

He won't be playing there for the dogs. Almost definetly being brought in to play Stringers role (forward/mid) where he'll probably continue to only hint at delivering consistently. Think he's too poor defensively to ever be a full time half back.

We won't need to...
Could be something like; our third + crozier to the dogs, bulldogs send us back pick 26.
We send that to GWS + we swap positions for the second round next year.
