That would have been the worst trade ever. Of all time. In any place.

Dogs don't even have pick 23. They have 25.

Our recruiters do their best work with late picks!
Draft isn't as deep this year. Next year is very deep with extremely good top 10.

I would prefer either of Matera or Hamling to Crozier if that is a way of measuring things. Partly due to our needs, whereas Crozier has struggled to define a role for us. I hope he does well.
I can see him being next years Jeremy Howe if he plays permanently back. Oh well, I like the Dogs so I hope he does well and I'm confident we'll do good things with pick 40

To be honest Howe showed more at Melbourne than Crozier did at Freo, if he does a Howe it would be a surprise

He was dropped back to the rookie last with Deluca this time last year, and upgraded to the senior list midseason due to seniors on the LTI. He's still a rookie.
Nope, confirmed by Freo on twitter last week that Grey is on the senior list.

Look up the tweet about Sheridan and Grey re-signing... its a reply under there (6 days ago)

Where the rules I Google it but can't find anything on it .
I'm sure it'd be in the big AFL rules document somewhere but this Wikipedia snippet covers it:

Between 2009 and 2013, rookie listed players that were elevated to their club's senior list were listed in the national draft order at the end of the club's selections. In 2014 the AFL reverted to the system used in 2008 and earlier, where they are not included in the draft list. Club can retain a rookie for up to three years before they must be elevated to the senior list or delisted.

Can see Balic being taken in the pre season and us paying overs for matera and wilson. Paranoid ??
Yep.

We generally do a pretty good job in getting value at the trade table.

Balic may end up going cheap but would be surprised if we get bent over in Wilson or Matera.

Only player that could go PSD is Hodge. Wouldn't be surprised if the AFL ask the two clubs to make the trade not happen just to justify the PSD's existence. Won't get used any other way. Clubs will just make their players DFAs these days when there's little to gain in way of trade value especially when trade period is over.
