Dockers, Giants edge closer
Talks between Fremantle and Greater Western Sydney continued over Nathan Wilson on Friday without a breakthrough, but a deal appears imminent.

After asking for a selection between 15-20 in exchange for the skillful half-back, the Giants' position appears to have softened and a future second-round pick is likely to form the centerpiece of a deal.

GWS has been keen to have another selection thrown in on top of that, while the Dockers' position was that a later pick should be coming back their way, given the strength of the 2018 Draft pool.

While an agreement is unlikely to be reached over the weekend, it is expected the clubs will reconvene early next week to finalise a trade.
This seems likely and with other clubs we somehow get ourselves a 2018 3rd rounder to compensate for loss of 2018 2nd round and 4th round picks. Balic or Matera deals will play some part in this.

Might be something, probably nothing - could just be a way of getting Wilson / Matera over? Who knows.

But sometime after 15 minutes is when Nixon says that Fremantle are a few days away from locking in a big deal they've been working on. He can't give information because there's up to 4 clubs involved.

Man there is a real disconnect between Nixon's voice and his face. He sounds like a relatively healthy and energetic guy who could be in his late 30s or early 40s, but he looks like a haggard old man.

Yeah.
She was being treated at the Swanston Center, so I'm assuming given the way the article was written
Also the AFL article does say this at the bottom:

Anyone seeking help with depression or other mental health issues can call beyondblue (1300 22 4636) or Lifeline (13 11 14)

Looks like Gary Ablett's sister may have taken her own life :(
I'm not so sure it would be suicide, I had heard previously that a big draw for him to come home was his sister being addicted to drugs.

Not like it would make it any better for their family either way
