He is a good player for sure. That club is a train wreck though. The AFL should just admit they royally botched it up there, shut it down and move the club to Tassie. That place is footy mad, they would have half a million fans day 1!
Tassie only have a half million population now. Not everyone that follows footy is going to switch teams. Some will stick with the teams that they have supported for decades now.

Also, from what I understand, there is quite a big divide between Hobart and Launceston, so I'm not sure a Tassie team could get the full support. Unless they somehow split their home games between Hobart and Launceston they'd upset at least one group.

The perfect scenario, Watts to Port for Port 2018 1st round Pick,
Lever to Melb for Melb 2017 1st and Port 2018 1st, Crows pick up either Jack Lukosius, Izak Rankine with that Port pick.

Oh the Joy if that happens. I don't know what I would enjoy more 2 x 1st round picks or Ports 2018 x1st round pick after they fail to make the 8.
Watts will likely end up on Freo's list. They love C grade forwards out there. Might help them break that pesky 1700 points/season barrier that they have been failing to top the last few years!

Agree. It's supporter base wouldn't be any smaller than the smaller Melbourne clubs. The main problem is the split of the population in Launceston and Hobart. Neither city has the population alone for good attendances and they are a long distance apart. They also hate each other.

This is the peanut saying Sloane is going to Essendon as a FA after next year, so let's just pump the breaks
To be fair though at some stage EVERY player gets linked with Essendon if there is a possibility of them being involved in trading/free agency.

Lever + Pick 35 >> Melbourne
Pick 10 + 2018 1st Round Pick (Melbourne) >> Adelaide

Charlie Cameron >> Brisbane
Pick 14 >> Adelaide

Pick 17 + Wigg >> Carlton
Bryce Gibbs >> Adelaide

Picks 10 + 2018 1st Round Pick (Adelaide) + Exchange of later picks >> West Coast
Jeremy McGovern + Exchange of later picks >> Adelaide

Leaving picks 14, 53 (FS Edwards), 72 (Rookie Upgrade), 90 (Rookie Upgrade)
+ Melbourne's 1st Round pick will be better then ours in 2018.

We Gain:
McGovern + Gibbs, Whilst also upgrading out current 1st round pick by 3 and only losing a second rounder.

We Lose:
Lever, Cameron, & Wigg.

Any trade value for:
Beech?
Cheney?
Ellis-Yolmen?

.. If not maybe the guys we delist, as well as Scott Thompson retiring

Possible FA Targets:

D.Menzel - For Depth??
J.Trengrove - Will be cheap, might want to come home. Would likely play SANFL, but maybe rookie contract?

I would rather pay extra in the salary cap for Rocky and keep all our first rounders then lose them for Gibbs.

Make no mistake the Blues want our Lever first rounder.
I want to date Miranda Kerr, doesn't mean diddley biscuits. If they ask for pick 6, we laugh and walk away dickhead silvani style. We don't have to buy, didn't bend last year and certainly won't this time around. 16/17 and wigg sounds overs already

I still believe the outcome of Saturday shapes our Gibbs move and also his asking price by the Blues.

If we win it, we can act like dicks and tell them here is pick 18 and shove it or walkaway. I think if we lose on Saturday there will be pressure to go after Gibbs.
