I'm not allowed to disagree with you?
Of course you can, but you're assuming me saying he's not a forwards asshole means he is physically incapable of it.
Any footballer can literally play in the forward line. What I mean is its a totally inefficient use of the player.

I'm sure Rance would be ok at full forward.

Can guarantee if he was given a top class small defender, he would struggle to kick goals.
He is short, fairly slow and not that agile.

He works as an inside/hybrid mid, but at AFL level I cant see any team wasting him playing permanent forward.
The other reason Brisbane played him there is because they knew that he wouldnt be there in 2018 and they had a bunch of young kids they wanted to see in the midfield.
Actually incorrect. He spent a lot of this year up forward as he'd been carrying a shoulder injury since round 8 that required a full reconstruction a couple of weeks ago.

Monfries, White off the books. Likely moving on Lobbe (and maybe Young) and players have fixed salaries not aligned with the salary cap increases. Apparently Port and WCE did that.

Don't need trade value for 2 free agents. Watts wouldn't demand much trade value either.
How are you getting lobbe off the books without paying most of his salary? He’ll be on your cap no matter where he plays

Not sure why people keep bringing up Rockliff. We have absolutely no interest in him as he is not the type of player we need.

Gibbs is our prime target and there is some real interest in Motlop from the club.
You'd have to read back a few pages.

It was in regard to Power getting Rockliff, not us.

If you look at my previous posts you'll realise that at no point have I suggested that he would be better used in the forward line than in his midfield role, if I did It would go against what I believe.

Where we disagree is in you describing him as a worthless forward, I don't think he is. I don't see him as the small and agile type of forward, but then again not every forward is.

But he's not someone you'd play forward by choice, correct?
It was out of necessity.

The only way I see them getting rid of his salary is if they pay the receiving club with picks, and I doubt they're willing to do that.

Well given the other moves I'm not sure that it matters next season.

No one knows how his salary will be paid, that'll be speculation. If he wants to play next season, going to a team where he's not behind the AA ruck would probably be beneficial. Likewise Trengrove.

Trengrove and White alone would be a big chunk of salary.

Soft spot for Brisbane
Agree only way we go for Motlop is if Cameron leaves. Not my first choice.

But if it's Cameron and Lever out, Gibbs and Motlop in I could live with that.
Would be a shame to lose Cameron now though.
Cameron and Lever out; Gibbs, Motlop and three first round picks in.

If White was on any more than $250-300K no wonder your mob struggle
