If Belinda wants to further her media career, it needs to happen now, women in their late 30s are not the norm. Sadly she has 6 or 7 good years before someone younger, slimmer and prettier takes her role. I'm not being a dick, it is what the media is for some reason, maybe that changes in the future but for now...

He is the heart and soul of the side, I hope he stays but I'll understand if he goes. Of course, until then, we probably shouldn't get worked up about it.
No disrespect, Sloane's woman is attractive but there are many more attractive women than her in media circles

This trade talk is interesting, and I'm sure once we get through the game there will be many interesting theories posted in this thread ... but the idea that a team can just bring in multiple FA players at will is kinda twisted isn't it? I mean how do you pay them all? They surely aren't going to come over for "cheaps"?

Will be very interested to see this play out.

Everyone leaving the Power will get overs, and everyone coming in will be free or cost unders and be on low $? Doubt it. Why?

It's usually the teams that make a couple of good changes that come out as winners once trade week has passed and reality sets in.

Samantha Armitage is 40. She goes alright
Anne Sanders 57, Tracey Grimshaw 57, Sonia Kruger 52, there's actually quite a few.
Whoops, remembeted it wrong. It was:

Mike, name me one woman on Australian television who's not attractive.

Mike Moore: (thinks for a while) ...the matron from Country Practice.

it's beyond me why anyone - male or female - would want to pursue a media career in the first place.

Once again, the starting of a sentence with " no disrespect" is right up there with " I'm not racist...but" as a warning that the next sentence or two will just be shit.

Going to be interesting to see how Pyke deals with this, and what our recruiting team do with his instructions.

We need to keep improving if we are to stay in the hunt in 2018, and organic growth won't be enough two years in a row.

So disappointed we missed our shot at snagging a premiership today - I look at our list now and see so many more players that I don't want than I did yesterday !!!

Jenkins is still there at the top of the list though. I was with Sanders at the end of last year on the trade-him-anywhere bandwagon ... reckon we might need a bigger cart this trade period :) Seriously flawed player, that cost us plenty today.

Mackay went back to his worst, and Douglas tried hard but wasn't up for it. Ottens is backup. With Lever and Cameron on the way out AND Smith injured - we better be deep into some quality ins, or we could be drifting back down the ladder next year faster than any of us want.

If we get only Gibbs, we will struggle big time in 2018 imo.

At minimum we need to replace Smith, Lever, Cameron, Mackay and Douglas. Potentially also Atkins and Jenkins.

Lever - Doedee?
Cameron - Menzel?
Smith - Seedsman?
Mackay - Milera?
Douglas - Gallucci?

That's with rolling out the whole 'organic growth' thing again.

Need Gibbs and then some to at least replace Mackay/Douglas. Then we probably need another gun player somewhere.

Lever and Jenkins for Hogan.
You might not be far off. Hogan has been rumored to be going home so...
Lever to demons
Hogan to wc
McGovern to crows
Might work with some additional pick swaps and such, but a good base to start with. Not sure you guys would want picks for lever. Sorry for the intrusion, but you guys had a great season can see you guys up there again next year with some aggressive recruiting

Yep aggressive recruiting is definitely needed, but the crows are well known for being passive. I'd take McGovern over Hogan every day of the week as would most others I'd assume. Only said Hogan because he actually provides a contest which Jenkins didn't today.

Gee Atkins is a frustrating player. Can be good one game, an absolute liability other games. And his liability games are usually finals!.

C: Atkins/Milera, Sloane, ??
HF: ??, Walker, Lynch
F: Betts, McGovern, ??
R: Jacobs, Brouch, Mrouch
I/C: Greenwood, Kelly, Knight, ??

Put Doedee and Gallucci into the team as organic growth. That leaves three spots to be filled.

Cameron, 34, 52 for 12, 41
Lever for 6 (if Melb and Coll swap 1sts in a Watts deal), 27
16, 2018 2nd for Gibbs

6, 27, 41, Gibbs, Edwards, Greenwood

Adam Cerra
Have no idea who to pick at 12
James Worpel
Sam Taylor

B: Brown, Talia, Doedee
HB: Laird, Hartigan, Seedsman
C: Milera, Sloane, Gibbs
HF: Gallucci, Walker, Lynch
F: Betts, McGovern, ??
R: Jacobs, Brouch, Mrouch
I/C: Worpel, Greenwood, Knight, Kelly

Really think we'd be better off in pressure games/in general without Jenkins in the side

Don't be crazy, why play youngsters when you have could Otten running around on his concrete legs.
AFC Coaching Dictionary

"Flexibility" {insert picture of Otten} 2 knee recos, top bloke, tall, can play forward or defence, top line speed - mild jog.

If you repeat "he is really fast and can play small" enough times, it may also be true.
