I think he is an absolute ripper and that you are under rating him. He'd fit in our mob. Brave, skilled and disciplined.
He's certainly a good player but have a look at how he compares to our own Gary Rohan.

Not too dissimilar. I know I wouldn't be paying way overs to keep Rohan. He's a valuable player but I wouldn't be getting drawn into bidding wars for him any more than I would for McGovern. They're both icing on the cake guys, not build my club around them guys imo.

Mcgovern is 22 to be fair
Sure but what's he projecting to become as a mid sized forward who doesn't really go into the midfield? He's probably roughly equivalent to Daniel Menzel, Gary Rohan or Tim Membrey atm but can he become Toby Greene? I wouldn't count on it.

Mcgovern is 192cm though
Rohan 188 plays a bit shorter maybe, but hes so quick
Menzel 188
Greene 181

Not sure its accurate comparisons apart from some stats there, membrey closer but even he is 188 but cmon he is not a patch on mcgovern.

I think he is a very good 3rd tall, better than rohan long term as much as i love gary

We've had an extra few games in Melbourne this year at the MCG.
Yep, with more than 13,500 members in Melbourne and having the additional games at the MCG, which all drew very healthy crowds helped our figured this year.

Our overall average was higher away than at home, which was a very healthy 33,000 odd.

Typical fair weather fans. Bet you all jumped off the wagon at 0-6. Cola cheats
We actually did have some honest to god fair weather:p
Unlike last season when we had apocalyptic rain at its worst to ongoing showers for about 6 games. Crimped our crowd numbers something fierce last year.

Just watching the GF last Q on Foxtel's 30 minute thrillers.

It's interesting to watch, if you can cope, to see who had a real crack in the last Q.

All our defenders were fantastic under the pressure & couldn't be questioned. Kennedy, Lloyd, Rampe, Grundy, Jones & Heeney sensational. Parker & Macca clearly hampered.
Mills was very good in the last so too was Buddy.
Those that were unsighted & the real disappointments remembering we were only 1 point down with 7 minutes to go?
Naismith, Tippett, Richards, McGlynn & Rohan. Tom Mitchell, for all the pumping up he was given, was hardly seen in the last when he was needed with Dog players running off him & a few others.
The comparison with an injured Parker is interesting.
Mitchell 26 disposals with 16 effective.
Parker 19 disposals with 13 effective.

We were right in this match with 7 minutes to go.

A fit Reid as he is now & we win!

Our defence doesn't get nearly the love it deserves. The board was quick to criticise Grundy and Smith when we're down but once we bounce back they're a booknote when we talk about our midfield being back.

Our defence is no small part to our success over the years. All things considered it's not surprising Grundy doesn't get an AA nod when his own fans rarely beat his drum

Reg is the most underrated player in footy. The AA selectors have now confirmed this.

Smith has been back to his best for a long time now. Totally agree with that.

He's 192cms but he's still not a KPF. He plays like the other medium forwards I've listed.

I think he's likely more valuable than Rohan too, long term in particular. I'm just saying I'm not falling over myself to sign him to big money. My point is just I think he's an excellent cherry on top of a really good team. I wouldn't be trying to recruit him to be one of the pieces to build around.

Should have been St Kilda team mates all the way chairing Nick.
Haha it's hilarious cause Luke Darcy was the one carrying on about it yet four days earlier was defending Bob Murphy for being on the podium in the Grand Final last year even though he didn't even participate.

Such a flog. Can't stand Darcy.
