2017 GST Classifications

[Russian]

Each coach is required to propose GST classifications for 2 or 3 AFL lists. There are 2 coaches allocated to each AFL list - where they agree on a classification (or non-classification), that classification will be given to that player for 2017. Where they don't agree it will go to additional coaches to come to a final decision.

The AFLTM requirement for 2017 is that each coach must have at least a third and no more than half of their team as GST players, including 2G (forwards), 2S (backs) and 1T (ruck) in the key positions, so AFL teams should have 8-11 players in their 22 spread across all three categories - use that as a guide to where to draw the line. Please copy your allocated lists below and add a G, S and/or T (multiple classifications per player are allowed) at the end of the line for the appropriate players.

These classifications are due in 3 weeks (i.e. Christmas morning) via PM (so all classifications are revealed at the same time - after all national draft picks have been taken). Failure to do so will get you excluded from all drafts until the end of the first round next year (with the exception of PSD picks required to fill up lists, which will be pushed to the back of the order)

I think we are doing KPP. Eg. Eddie Betts shouldn't be classed as a G player

That's up to you to judge. They don't necessarily have to be tall - they are the only players who can be named at FB/CHB/ruck/CHF/FF, but they also have to fill other spots.

There's 4 of them whose salaries are being (potentially) split between 2 clubs so are in my lists twice. To make my life easier, don't delete them, just put the same tag(s) against each line.

I think there are a few more in that boat too, and quite a few who would be considered as rucks who are likely to swing forward and vice versa as well.

The AFLTM requirement for 2017 is that each coach must have at least a third and no more than half of their team as GST players, including 2G (forwards), 2S (backs) and 1T (ruck) in the key positions, so AFL teams should have 8-11 players in their 22 spread across all three categories - use that as a guide to where to draw the line.

Did I miss the point here? I see a lot of smalls in the list of players going into the 2nd selection stage.

And can we appeal? Trengove and Blicavs not tappers jeebus. Trengove played most of the year as Ports first ruck and Blicavs I agree is a unique player but at 200cm+ surely he's a tapper
