1. Your 2017 H&A ladder prediction; ladder position and number of wins?
I think we play an elimination final and finish 8th. 12 Wins in 2017

2. Biggest/most likely win? Biggest/most likely loss?
Biggest win will be against Gold Coast
Biggest loss will be against GWS (they will be scary good and and even harder to beat)

3. The crowd, the winner and the margin of the Good Friday game?
48,492 is my guess for the crowd and we stun the reigning premiers by 9 points

4. Excluding Good Friday, the 3 games you’d most like to win (or least like to lose) and why?
I'd love to beat Hawthorn, Geelong and Sydney but that is easier said than done

5. The 3 players you are most hoping to see perform at their best next year?
Jack Ziebell - Now the captain, looks 100% injury free and needs to set a huge example for this youthful group
Jamie MacMillan - Been a huge fan since he debuted and love the way he is a vocal and instrumental part of the best 22. Looking forward to seeing a big step up from him
Mason Wood - We saw stuff from Mase that dropped our jaw and made us take notice in bursts. Can't wait to see another 10 full seasons of that

6. How many players will debut for NM (see list below)? Who specifically? Who will most impress?
8 Debutants. Marley Williams, Nathan Hrovat, Jy Simpkin, Braydon Preuss, Ed Vickers-Willis, Mitch Hibberd, Declan Mountford, Matthew Taylor (Rookie) with Jy SImpkin making the biggest impression

7. The backline – hopes, fears, thoughts?
Hopes: If Thompson can get closer to his AA standard in partnership from Taz, we will hold up fine. Add in a fit Sam Wright, a full year from McDonald, Atley finally becomes a damaging player, Williams has an impact

Fears: Taz suffers an injury that derails his year

Thoughts: Not as bad as some make it out to be providing what I said happens in the hopes section.

8. The midfield – hopes, fears, thoughts?
Hopes: Ziebell, Cunners and Swallow have great years as this will go a long way to having some sort of success in 2017. Getting our gun tagger (Jacobs) but up and running would be awesome. Dumont continues his natural development and we see some speed in the form of Mountford, Simpkin, Hibberd and Williams injected into our side

Fears: Injuries galore.

Thoughts: Still capable of taking it up to the better sides in the middle

9. The forward line – hopes, fears, thoughts?
Hopes: Daw continues where he left off in the EF loss. I am hearing Brown is enjoying his first injury/niggle free pre-season which should only help. I mentioned Mason Wood earlier about the jaw dropping, amazing things he has done to date

10. Player likely to show greatest improvement (recaptures best form/takes game to new level)?
Shaun Atley. In 2012 he had an amazing year where he burnt anyone who tried to run with him off half back and we thought "holy sh*t! This kid is going to be a truly special player". Since the end of 2012, he seems to have stagnated but I am praying he finally takes off and flourishes.

11. Player likely to show greatest deterioration (form worsens or goes backwards)?
Jarrad Waite sticks out in my mind here from a deterioration aspect. Another year older, just survived the "Roo Cull" last year and injuries got the better of him after being on fire for the first 8-10 rounds.

12. The biggest mystery – which player are you most curious about, but unsure what to expect?
Marley Williams. By all accounts is a stand out on the track this pre-season but while at Collingwood, he got into a truck load of trouble where he nearly went to prison. God forbid anything like that happens while he is in our colours but I am extremely curious about what he can produce.

13. The question or request you'd most like to put to Cameron Joyce (GM, Football)
(probably one that would be deflected quicker than it was said) With Boomer, Dal, Spud and Drew gone, this means we should have a sizable amount of cap space. I know we have targeted Heeney from Sydney with a big offer and is there anyone else who you have in the cross hairs?

14. The question or request you'd most like to put to the Board or Executive?
I would love to know if the debt is still on track to be $0 come the end of 2017 as JB promised.

15. Your 2017 membership prediction?
Hopefully those people who threatened not to renew their memberships have had time to think about why Boomer and co. were let go with an eye to the future I hope we nudge the 50k very hard but I am going to predict 48,022 members in 2017

Eagles in round 1, because they have humiliated us in recent times to much in the west.
GWS in Hobart, will be good to see our youngsters take it up to GWS fleet of first round draft picks.
Richmond in Round 11, because it would be hilarious if they are still our bitch.

To much pressure on Tarrant? Thompson needs to be more disciplined as the senior back now.
Hoping Marley Williams can assist Atley in giving us some zip off half-back.

Midfield is very sound and able of competing. Hoping to see Ziebs & Cunnington step up.
Will be interesting to see if Spitta can improve without the burden of captaincy.
Ryan Clarke is an exciting prospect.

9. The forward line – hopes, fears, thoughts?

I want to see Majak Daw continue to develop with continuous game time.
Mason Wood will be exciting as well.
Ben Brown is mr reliable, he's been giving us great output and i can see him going one better.
Hoping Waite can stay injury free, his guidance will be valuable to our younger fwds.

Sadly i could see maybe Waite struggling if his body doesn't hold up.
