Rather hoped Grundy was on the "test" list - 2 head knocks in 2 weeks, come on Swans take care of player's welfare

From Longmire's press conference via Twitter
Longmire: Gary is ok. His scans were all clear and he has a bad case of whiplash. He is going to be out this week.
Longmire on McVeigh: We are discussing at the moment whether we bring him straight in or he plays in NEAFL.
Longmire on McVeigh: He is an important player for us and brings experience but we have to look at that decision in isolation.
Longmire: We haven't shown the consistently hard brand of football that we have been known for and we can't escape that.
Longmire: We are playing younger players and we will keep picking the best team that we think can help us win this week.
Longmire: I am confident that we can rediscover the form we need to rediscover.
Longmire: It isn't about the discussions we have had behind closed doors we need to do it now.
Longmire on Aliir: He is improving on it, he is getting better and he is right in the mix for this week.

In all honesty, I hope Aliir gets 1 more game in the NEAFL. We need him for the 3 games straight after the Lions and I think we've got enough of a rocket this week to win it. Would be nice to go into the bye 4-6 and still have a chance of getting something out of the season.

Rather play Alir this week though he will improve more by playing

Was told last night hanners does have slight OP

For what it's worth anyway, we know something is up

He's clearly working hard to push through it. Probably deserves more credit tbh.

Slight OP would explain that loss of breakaway pace in those first 5 steps exiting from a contest.

What should Hanners do for long term though, work through it or rest?

If it's truly OP rest, rest, and more rest.

But he was winning time trials etc preseason which suggests he might just still be heavy in the legs from his preseason load.

FWIW he says he's saying he's not injured publicly.
