Pretty simple, post your ladder prediction for the year after round 23. I guess you can also do one after finals too but I have no ******* idea who will win the flag this year so I'm sticking to after the H&A season...

  2. Sydney
  3. Geelong
  4. Western Bulldogs
  5. West Coast
  6. St Kilda

OK. I said pretty simple, but * me that was harder than I expected. Looks like it's going to be a cracking year.

WC 5? Lololololo
Mate, can they possibly lose at home? I reckon they will win close to, if not all, of their home games plus probably the away derby. So that's already 10-12 wins. I don't like it but I reckon they could win 15+

You have these clowns 5th and Adelaide 9th. Ridiculous.
Adelaide overrated. Midfield is s**t, back line is average at best and their game plan can be countered by any good side.

Classic case in point was last game last year. West Coast were locked into 6th, they couldn't move anywhere. Adelaide were playing for a home Qualifying Final against Geelong if they won by enough. West Coast utterly destroyed them when the game was in the balance. Adelaide were found out.

Yet they finished 5th last year. I guess they didn't play any good sides eh?

West Coast are continually overrated by just about everyone. It's baffling. You'll see.
Went 5-7 against top 8 sides last year (including finals), average losing margin of 21.

Went 12-0 against bottom 10 sides, average winning margin of 59. Classic case of being a flat track bully.

Because nobody improves ever. Newsflash. This year isn't last year.
Yes. And due to the factors I mentioned earlier, I see them as overrated and that teams like Melbourne, St. Kilda and Fremantle will go past them.

Right so you're saying they'll get worse and I'm saying they'll get better. Since neither of us can predict the future and they are both guesses let's just leave it there.

We can revisit when I'm proven right.

Agreed. I'm usually useless at this sort of thing anyway tbh.

this is on the back of a round by round guesstimate

1-GWS. 20-2
2-WCE 17-5
3-Melb 17-5
4-Adel 16-6
5-Syd 15-7
6-Dogs 15-7
7-Coll 14-8
8-StK14-8
9-Ess 14-8
10-Hawks 10-12
11-GCS 10-12
12-Geel 8-14
13-Freo 8-14
14-North 5-17
15-Port 5-17
16-Bris 5-17
17-Rich 4-18
18-Carl 1-21

I think Sydney will be top 3 and Melbourne lower.
Carlton will win more than 1, but it will be a surprise win
Geelong may snare a couple more games, but they do have a tough draw. The home games in geelong may swing a few their way

we just miss out as i think St Kilda will register some big wins.
Possibly we scrape in if we can keep the points against column down.

I think Geelong will finish ahead of Essendon,(hope i'm wrong) but thats not a bad ladder prediction.

Essendon has a problem with pace and clean disposal out of their defensive half, midfielders can go missing for quarters, this too often leads to the opposing side letting loose for too long ..

Essendon could do really well if their forwards and midfielders increase their goal kicking efficiency, which looks like that is happening, on paper they have one of the best up and coming lists in the entire league.

Geelong i feel has a bit more consistency...

St Kilda and Melbourne are the teams to watch this year as well.

Too hard to pick this year.

Saints were 2-8 against top 8 teams last year and their midfield is thin. Can't believe people think they'll make the eight.
GWS will s**t it in. Doggies will be stronger. Pies mid is strong, Elliott and Fasolo will help up forward. Reid and possibly Keefe can hold it down back where they have biggest problems.

We could be anywhere. Don't think it's particularly strong outside top 4-5. Could have had Cats anywhere from 4th to 12th
