Prediction 2017 Ladder Prediction

I think Geelong will finish ahead of Essendon,(hope i'm wrong) but thats not a bad ladder prediction.

Essendon has a problem with pace and clean disposal out of their defensive half, midfielders can go missing for quarters, this too often leads to the opposing side letting loose for too long ..

Essendon could do really well if their forwards and midfielders increase their goal kicking efficiency, which looks like that is happening, on paper they have one of the best up and coming lists in the entire league.

Geelong i feel has a bit more consistency...

St Kilda and Melbourne are the teams to watch this year as well.

Too hard to pick this year.

i dont rate Geelong. i think carlton will be happy with the tuohy deal come years end.

Essendon will come 10th to 16th in my opinion
I believe we are better than Brisbane and Carlton but from there injuries and form are big factors.
I lump us in with Gold Coast, north Melbourne, port Adelaide, Fremantle, Richmond, Collingwood and St Kilda. I reckon the last two teams have us covered but only just.

Think the team that will drop off in 2017 is Sydney - Re-organised their list in the last two years and overall have a youngish list - Couple that with pre-season injuries to GOOD players, and you have a recipe for a drop down the ladder - 6th or 7th for me.

Sam Mitchell instantly improves a list that was in a grand final only 2 seasons ago. They'll be hard to beat in Perth so they'll get the required number of wins to comfortably make the 8. I have them down as top 4 on percentage.

I think we'll be contending for a spot in the 8 alongside Melbourne, Collingwood, Richmond and St Kilda (unless injuries). I had us losing to all of them and winning one game against Collingwood and we still made the 8. That's how easy our fixture is.

I think Essendon could slot anyway in between Melb n Freo.
I'm hoping top 8 as I think we have some depth which will get us through the season.
Adelaide, west coast, St kilda and Melbourne could be bust if they have some injuries. I rate their best 22 more so than their lists.

It's probably on the lower end of where I think we'll end up, but I prefer an under promise and over delivery. Having said that I think our forward line is average, back line below average, and midfield well below average given our ruck options.

From what I've seen through out the pre season our forward line is going to be our strong suit but yeah the back line and midfield needs work.
