Gary Lyon saying Richmond fans are "up and about" lolz.
We have seen so many false dawns so we have our feet firmly on the ground but the media say we are getting ahead of ourselves, just lol.
There have been quite a few up and about ringing up SEN over the last week or so.

But to be fair the supporters who constantly ring up radio stations are pretty interesting cats

Got it in one with your last comment.
Knowing SEN,they will play that Tigers comment as an audio highlight during the add breaks.
They already have one going about Jack not being in the leadership group.

Some clubs are constantly laughed at while others are wrapped in the finest cotton wool like the Collingwoods and Hawthorns of this World.

Doggies even getting heat now after winning a flag ffs.

Jenkins is a pretty bad ruckman, still a better ruckman than Vickery.

People tend to forget that Vickery was even shit between 2013-15 when Richmond weren't. The only think he has going for him is if he manages to stick around for another 81 games he will probably become the Worst 200 game AFL player eclipsing Anthony Rocca and Justin Koschitzke
I'm only judging him on his pre-season games, and I reckon he has looked more than worthy of a spot in the 22. His ruck work is actually not bad imo.

Probably confirms my opinion of him 'junk time specialist' tbh. Plays well when there is nothing on the line

So do you feel the same about the Melbourne players that have played well this pre-season?
No, the main ones that have played well (Gawn, Viney, Lewis, Hogan, Petracca, Vince, Jones, Oliver) have either shown they can do it during the regular season or are kids with potential. Vickery is neither of these things.

Vickery played one good game and one terribly shit game so far in the pre season, so it is hardly like he is tearing it up now.

Ummm, no. Lay off the Tyrone, man.

Vickery has never played in a good forward line and I think that's going to be a real shock for him.

Having Gunston, Roughead, rioli and breust (4 all Australians) around him is going to make life a lot easier for him. Some good delivery might help him out as well.

you can polish a turd as much as you want, but it will still be a turd

Vickery has also displayed absolutely no awareness of how to function in a forward line containing just Riewoldt.

I'm just as worried about his ability to operate in a forward structure (unless it's 2016 again and we don't have one) as I am about his ability.

I'm confident he'll be a lot better at Hawthorn than he was at Richmond.

At Richmond there's a lot of spotlight on everyone with any sort of profile and there was probably a lot of pressure or expectation on him to be kicking regular goals, and when he didn't, the pressure probably built considerably, but at Hawthorn he'll just be one part of a well oiled forward machine and all the focus will be on him to simply play his role, which will likely take a lot of pressure off him and allow him to flourish.

Not expecting him to star, but to a better, more consistent version than the one we saw at Richmond.

He average 8 possessions per game ffs. He cant get anyworse, however it is going to have to be a massive improvement for him to even get to ok status

He's already been ok in the two games he's played if you've watched him.

Been better than expected in the ruck, competed well in the air bringing others into the game in the forward half and got himself on the scoreboard.

He won't be expected to have 15 possessions and 4 goals.

His job is be just another tooth on the Hawthorn forwardline cog(rough, gunston, burton, Rioli, Bruest, Sicily, Schoenmakers).

A little bit surprised with where you've placed the Suns. Do you think injuries will cripple you again? Or do you think that the other sides are just better positioned to impact this year regardless of injuries? I think the Suns would be a smokey for the top 8 if a lot goes right for them but I reckon you should be able to get around 9-10 wins this year if you fare well on the injury front.

Am I the only one who thought Bazza was quoting himself here?
