A 100 point loss is still a 100 point loss. Didn't you guys lose to Carlton when finals were still on the line? We lost to North but from memory Melbourne were still a chance if they beat the blues, a loss to them with finals on the line is probably the equivalent of a 70+ point loss
I went to a private supporters meeting late last year where the coaching group admitted they were very worried going into the Carlton game on the back of the 3 wins in a row and an insipid second half against Port where they still managed to eke out a win.

The youngest and least experienced team in the comp was cooked by round 22 and played accordingly against Carlton and then in the final round against Geelong.

If that lessens your view of our future fortunes, or how we'll fair in 2017, so be it. You're welcome to your view.

I'm not concerned one iota. We're older with new personnel and with another preseason into maturing bodies.

Vickery will surprise at the Hawks. He will be more consistent with his effort. If this dropped off at Tigers he would still get a game the following week but not under angry ant. He will play his role well.

A little bit surprised with where you've placed the Suns. Do you think injuries will cripple you again? Or do you think that the other sides are just better positioned to impact this year regardless of injuries? I think the Suns would be a smokey for the top 8 if a lot goes right for them but I reckon you should be able to get around 9-10 wins this year if you fare well on the injury front.

I thought the Suns would make top 8 for the last 4 years. Never happened. Injures affects the Suns more because they don't have depth.

Yeah well, just as you're not concerned with those losses, I'm not concerned with the 3 big drubbings St. Kilda copped last year. We're another year older with maturing bodies as well, of course if it happens again I'd be concerned but surely using 'the youngest and least experienced team in the comp' (which I find hard to believe anyway) as an excuse for a loss against Carlton after almost the exact same team beat Hawthorn 2 weeks earlier without Hogan must have been some concern

Champion data said we were the youngest 22 in the AFL on 11 occasions last season thought I have read it was more than that a few times. Even still we did fade badly

Injuries really destroyed not only general form but also the development of the suns individual players.

Not sure how you will go this year but love the forward combo of Lynch and 2 metre Peter.

We were the youngest and least experienced more than any other team in 2016.

Brisbane were next youngest (about 8 times).

In the Hawthorn game we played 3 teenages and had 10 players with less than 50 games.

As I said, please yourself whether you think the youngest team in the comp ought be cooked or not by round 22 of an AFL season.

David Hale was a VFL turd once too.
You mean the same turd that kicked 8 against Geelong, Scarlett & co. played.
Vickery isn't that good. He will function better at a new club, but he will be keeping young developing talls at Hawthorn out of the side. He just isn't that good. If he has a down patch in form, say a run of under 7 possession games like he had at Richmond, he will be dropped and he will struggle to get back in.

Being the youngest team or whatever is fine, but I don't know why you seem to think it's a perfectly good excuse for those abysmal performances in the last two games of the season? 'Cooked' or not, the quality on Melbourne's list should not have been dropping off so dramatically to lose to Carlton - who had previously lost 9 in a row and then over 100 points to Geelong after you guys beat them last year? That must be close to a 150 point turnaround in 12 months.
You provide the reason then...

I've told you intel from the club.

As I've said, you're welcome to your view.

Top 4:

1 Collingwood
2 Richmond
3 Carlton
4 Essendon

If this was the case.. we'd get back to understanding the true essence of football itself.. as opposed to compensating Sydney and GWS.. to advance the game in NSW.
Imagine a Prelim with these 4 teams. That would go off in Melbourne.

I agree though, if he even goes near the ball they will have a wank fest over him, just like they do for any Hawthorn players

Well let's be honest old mate Melbourne players haven't given us much to wank about for a while.

Now that you have Jordan Lewis on board we may see the splash mats and lube a bit during D's games.

Gary Lyon saying Richmond fans are "up and about" lolz.
We have seen so many false dawns so we have our feet firmly on the ground but the media say we are getting ahead of ourselves, just lol.
How funny is it when Richmond lose 5 in a row.. then by some miracle win one.. followed by your supporters calling SEN talking up your chances of winning a premiership?
