Not sure why anyone would do this exercise until at least the trade period and drafts have been settled. It's not like you get extra points for putting in your selection early. I suppose many of us just have to fill that awful, yawning void in the week after the GF with something, anything...

What rubbish. Your midfield is terrible, if the Crouch brothers is where the midfield depth is after Sloane you're in huge trouble, defence and attack is quite good and keeps you competitive but you need everyone fit and on the park and still didn't crack top 4.
2016 was a dream run for the crows.

You should trade players with currency like Jenkins or Lynch for some more midfielders.
A dream run with the hardest 8 rounds out of any team. That's funny.

Obviously making a semi final means that particular teams midfield is "terrible". Forwards can't kick goals unless it gets inside the forward 50, and our inside 50 numbers this season were through the roof. Are our Forwards and defenders the reason for that? No, it's our midfielders.

No question we need 2 quality midfielders injected into the side to make a grand final but calling our midfield "rubbish" is bullshit.

Port, Freo and Richmond all turned out to be s**t. You then failed to beat 4/5 of the top 8 sides. That was your first 8 rounds. You then beat up on sides during your "easy patch". You had a 1 in 50 year run with injuries yet you still couldn't make it past the semis. Your "depth" was never challenged through the entire season. Your ruckman who has been a major weapon in the past 5 years seems to be on the wane. Your midfield lacks quality, depth and is 1 paced. It is highly unlikely that Jenkins, Betts and Lynch will again have career best years. Unless there is by some miracle you trade in/recruit 2 A grade midfielders and have a similar injury run, I'm not really sure where the case for Adelaide being a premiership threat comes from?

And to save you the trouble, Port aren't any where close to being a premiership threat either.

What does those 3 teams have to do with anything?

We don't need two A grade midfielders, we need 2 quality midfielders.

Our depth wasn't challenged because we didn't have many injuries in our midfield, so not sure what your point is there.

If we can get a Rockliff/Gibbs then we will be right up there next year.

The Crouch brothers are still young and if Brad can have a full pre-season injury free, he could have a breakout year.

We were a premiership threat up until we blew it in round 23. The majority of people in here think we can make top 4 next year while other people think we could finish in the bottom 8, which we won't.

Not sure what made me laugh more. WC at 12 or Essendon at 8.
7-12 would be really close and if we take advantage of a soft draw, I think we can make it. We'd be more likely to finish around 11-12, but I can see us having a 2013 year with the added emotions.

I expect St Kilda, Collingwood, Port and Melbourne to overtake West Coast. Bulldogs really badly exposed your midfield and I cannot see where the improvement is going to come from, especially with Nic Nat out for the year.

Richmond have to improve considerably as they will get the cruisiest draw in the league from finishing 13th, the big benefits of the 6/6/6 rule

Actually it is known. Players like Ellis-Yolmen, Grigg, Knight, Hampton, Milera and Menzel all struggled to get a game this season. All of them can play through the midfield or on the wing. Only Gore and Wigg are unknowns. Apparently that is bad depth...
