This is still adding depth.
I just can't think of any reason why we would go tall again in this draft, unless we're taking a ruckman.

Agree unless one is available later that SOS rates like Kerr. If we add those mentioned we all of a sudden have real depth through the midfield but I think we still lack elite talent. Hopefully Pick 3 can gives us that and then chase a few guns next year

Why not Rockliff who costs us nothing in terms of picks or players in trade? Who is arguably better than Dahlhaus?

I doubt he'd come to us, especially with Adelaide sniffing around.

He's been at the bottom his whole career, I think it's either move to a contender or stay at Brisbane.

Dahlhaus just turned 25 and Rockliff is 28 in Feb. Dal could easily be around when we threaten.

Apparently it's Brisbane or Adelaide for Rockliff anyway

JOSH Schache’s future is looking increasingly likely to be at another club despite the Brisbane forward signing a fresh two-year deal just three months ago.
Teammates of the 20-year-old are not expecting Schache to return to the Lions for the 2018 season, foxfooty.com.auunderstands.

Schache, who lived with teammates Corey Lyons and Alex Witherden this season, is believed to have packed up all of his belongings, leaving nothing in Brisbane to return to.

Solid attitude to pack & run. Sounded like that was the case after not sticking around for the finals.
Hopefully BL's get well compensated (unless it's SOS pulling the strings) or sit him out of AFL for 2 seasons without pay.

I don't think Brisbane will be too sorry to see Schache go.

They have #1 this year, have Ballenden coming in cheap and will get something good for Schache.
All that and then they'll go to the AFL and have a better reason to ask for another Priority Pick. Maybe they've already done so.

Just glad they got his signature 1st for their benefit (still think that something may have been in play re: possible trade back then).

Darcy is someone I'd definitely be interested in.

He's one we asked about last year as part of the Tuohy trade but he was contracted for 2017 and opted to stay and fight for his spot.

Played just the 8 senior games this year and there are some pretty handy names being linked with the Cats at the moment so you'd think now he's out of contract he may be more open to looking elsewhere for greater opportunities at senior level.

That being the case I dare say there'd certainly be a level of interest there at our end as long as the price is right. Talented footballer who has some really good upside, would come relatively cheap and at 22 has a long career ahead of him if he's good enough.

Seems to have spent most of his time at senior level at half forward but from memory was predominantly a midfielder as a junior. Probably doesn't have the body to play consistently as an inside mid at AFL level but with a bit of continuity he may be able to develop into a very handy outside midfielder.

Personally I'd be happy to see him in navy blue next year. For what he'd likely cost I dare say he's certainly worth taking a chance.

Agree. They actually have the nucleus to become a bit of a powerhouse with a bit of luck.

Andrews and McStay very talented key backs too. Add a few gun young mids with their early picks and they will be set.
