And ASOS. Bargain buys rather than trading something like a pick 10 for lever.
In order of importance (IMO):That would be ridiculous.
We already have talls in picks #1, #3 and #6 down back.
Premium picks are for mids and forwards, from here on in.

In order of importance (IMO):
- goal kicking mid with elite pace and two way running (e.g. Kelly, Shiel types)
- Inside mid with decent tank (e.g. Hopper)
- Gibbs replacement (if he goes- silky mixed inside/outside goal kicking mid ?LDU)
- Elite key forward with good tank and good set shot (?Ben Silvagni but clearly this is a long time to wait)
- Fast small forward/half forward
- Developing ruck
It wouldnt go astray. So long as they can play up to 50% time in mid and be a 50 goal forward, I am all in! Rayner is certainly looking the goodsI think a power forward-mid is right up there in terms of need. A Robbie Gray/Petracca type.
Without seeing him play, Rayner sounds exactly like the type of player I think we need (without me saying that he's the best available, or that he won't be gone before our pick etc.)

You dropped Matty Wright?I think next year we will look like this based on current list
B: Docherty Weitering Plowman
HB: Byrne Jones Marchbank
Foll: Kruezer Cuningham Murphy
C: SPS Cripps Williamson
HF: Charlie Macreadie Polson
F: Silvagni McKay Pickett
Int: Fisher (mid) Curnow (mid) ???? ?????
Other options: Simpson Sheehan ASOS LeBois Kerr Wright Phillips Rowe Sumner
Kerridge Graham Smedts Lamb are purely back up
I'm assuming Gibbs & Casboult go for picks & Rowe won't be available until mid year.
Issue is key forward (so I put Macreadie there. Could be Weitering) and midfield options. Add Hopper & Balic and it helps. Pick 2 or 3 will be another gun mid. Fisher Polson Cuningham Charlie SPS will improve in that area
Needs are Quality Mids with good ball use, back up Ruck and a Tall Mobile Forward.
Out: Gibbs Casboult Palmer Thomas Gorringe Jaksch Buckley Boekhurst Armfield Gallucci Korcheck G-Mac
In: Hopper Balic Pick 2 plus another 4-6 picks, maybe a FA and a steak knife and then some rookies.
You dropped Matty Wright?

What may be, should some things fall into place:
Docherty Jones Plowman
Byrne Marchbank Pickett
Kreuzer Cripps Kelly
Williamson Gibbs Petrevski-Seton
Hopper Weitering CCurnow
Silvagni McKay Wright
ECurnow - Fisher - Cuningham - Macreadie
After that: '17 Pick#3 - Thomas - Polson
Then in '18: Ben Silvagni - Wil Hickmott - Tom Lynch
Come 2019:
Back-line - Sorted - we're good to go.
Mid-field - Sorted - with the extra couple of years into SPS, Cuningham, Fisher etc.
Forward-line - Sorted - although someone like LeBois will have to come good, just to round it off.
We've got a team.
ASOS???

I mean when developedRayner is a long way off playing through the midfield at AFL, but he is a beast for his size
There were a few more I could have dropped in and I left Simpson out because the team was geared towards a 2019 start.
Should have put Phillips into the 'After that'.
Simmo will play till 35 yo
hopefully ASOS will get better luck with his body for next 2-3 years
If McKay LeBois Kerr Sumner Pickett can step up and be really good AFL players it will make a massive difference to our list
Polson and Lebois in and no Simpson ASOS and Wright gotta love your youth policy Soapy vDare to dream best 25 in 2018

Int from: Macreadie Cuningham Rayner Fisher Polson Pickett Balic
Bloody Unlucky: Simpson Wright Rowe Sheehan ASOS Phillips and a few more draft picks
Now that would be exciting
Carlton has made a change to its list, with Ciaran Sheehan being placed on the Club’s senior list.
The Blues have placed Andrew Phillips on the long-term injury list and upgraded Sheehan from the rookie list as his replacement.
