Not sure I agree he 'looks jaded'.

If there is a Wayne Schwass / Shannon Grant deal out there for us and Murphy wanted to go, then I would not begrudge him, but I would not be pushing him if he wasn't already thinking about going.

Bailey Rice was picked 26 selections after Cuningham. We'd have taken Cunners, possibly matched a bid for Rice, then matched the bid for SOS with a token late pick and maybe a few carryover points into the 2016 third round.

Still more excited about the prospect of Hopper for us, for now.

If it was only Hopper, SOS would likely manufacture a situation where we'd be keeping both this and next years firsts.
I don't particularly consider holding a first as some sort of miracle cure to all ails, but they're always good to have.

I know Geelong have their sights on Devon Smith, but I'd still be very keen on him.

Met the McKay boys recently and geez they are giant lads. Got me thinking about whether we could unite the brothers at Carlton. Would be terrific in a few years time to have a team list with a couple of Curnows, a couple of McKays & several Silvagnis on it.

This is what I came up with to make this happen.

Carlton trade Gibbs to Adelaide for pick #18
Carlton trade pick #18 & 2018 2nd round pick to NMFC for Ben McKay & 2018 1st round pick
NMFC trade pick #4 & #18 to GWS for Josh Kelly

Forwards & Swingmen at Carlton FC: Casboult, Weitering, H.McKay, Jones, Jaksch, Kerr. Adding a 19yo 200cm player taken at pick #21 doesn't seem like a bad idea to me, especially seeing as at years end we may lose Casboult, Jaksch & Jones.

One great game doesn't mean he's safe. And I did say 'may lose'. I think we can all agree that he's shown more in that 1 game as a defender than all the ones he has played forward for us put together.

They did say that 1.5 years ago and I also am not sure if that has changed. Isn't he being played more as a Full Forward though? That was the info I received.

He's done well to play so long for someone who is so "clumsy"
