Apparently Saints no longer interested in Fyfe.
To me, in other words, Fyfe has given them a strong indication he isn't interested in them and hence likely to stay at Freo. Reported in Herald Sun

It means the Dockers are increasingly confident of retaining their dual best and fairest winner in recent months on a deal worth about $1 million-$1.2 million a year. The Dockers are likely to shy away from offering Fyfe more money than that and instead spread the extra riches from the pending Collective Bargaining Agreement on a more balanced list model in search of the club’s first AFL premiership.

Interesting if the Club can achieve that.

If we can that puts us in a good spot with McGovern & JJ.

Hmmm...

http://www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/2017-06-07/team-effort-crucial

Fremantle’s big name players such as Nat Fyfe, Aaron Sandilands, Lachie Neale, David Mundy and Stephen Hill have been instrumental in Freo’s sex wins from seven rounds between rounds three to nine.

Leaders on and off the field it seems. Would explain the fatigue the past two rounds.

Not sure if this is the thread for it but Michael Barlow will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on the AFL Subreddit on Tuesday, 13th of June, 6:30pm. If anyone wants to pledge your love for Micky or maybe actually ask him a question head on over.

I might ask him to marry me and to come back home

Yes, they were also very anal in their preparation for these games. Most of the wins they came from behind.

the West reporting APearce to be back playing WAFL in 4-6 weeks. Back in training within 2. I hope we don't push him too quick (not that we seem to do this since Harvey left) but just want him in cotton wool until 100% right. Hopefully a big 2018 coming up.

That's awesome.
If we can get both he and Bennell back on the park this year, a few games into Darcy, it'll be an awesome development year

It'll be interesting to see if Essendon stay with the "we don't know what we injected them with" line and take the hit for this, or finally fess up to try & get out of them. Most likely they'll settle out of court though.
Might end up being more than one settlement, too.
It'll hurt them.

I think you will find they refused to settle. Court case will be interesting if Essendon can't say what drugs were used.

I have it on good authority that after our last three dismal performances the AFL is investigating us for stanking. Expect the media to go wild with it shortly.

Hagdorn reckons Fyfe is playing with severe bruising to the chest for the last few weeks, and also bruised thigh. Wearing a special protective vest even.

If true it makes me wonder - why we are playing him and not just letting him rest and recover?
A genuine injury is not tanking.
He's the captain. He's courageous. No way is he sitting out. His 80% is better than most's 100%. The last true warrior.

I don't like players playing with injuries that clearly inhibit their game and make them liabilities to the team (SHill?), but Fyfe still contributes well enough to get picked even when crippled.
