is SPS worth it? The campaigner got a debut without any jlt matches, that must show how highly carlton rate him?
I rated SPS the best player in the draft .....class player, but to get him in now is just too hard, and would muck up my side that i've settled on

Do you have Taranto? if so swap him for SPS, save some coin.
No, don't have Taranto .....too expensive for a GWS forward, not playing thru the midfield ......gee it's easy to rationalise your team choices isn't it :$

I have two cheapie forwards at F5 & F6 ......but with Dual Position players, i have 6 players to choose from for those two positions .....gone 4 premo's forward

That said, trying currently to get Simpkin in, which contradicts everything i just wrote :$

I've traded MCrouch out for SPS to start him and SPP on field (and have significantly bolstered my backline)

Is it worth downgrading Pendles to Selwood/Hannebery to upgrade one of my mid-rookie to SPS? I know that downgrading a gun to upgrade a rookie seems silly but there's no good midfield rookie options.

The only other thing I was considering was Gawn -> Goldstein but Preuss being named worries me.

Considering Bont in my team instead of hanners to make a bit of extra cash, but Bont had 63 h/o last year at a 42% h/o to advantage rate, which net an extra 132 points, over 22 games that's an extra 6pts per game, which would bring his last years average down to 101.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on if it will have an effect on Bont or will natural improvement see him get to that 110 + average anyway

Lol that's looking way to far into it imo, a player like Bont isnt relying on his hit outs. Yes he should improve, natural progression.

I thought the same, but put it this way, now he gets to be on the ground getting kicks/tackles instead of hit outs. I think I read somewhere that CD don't even count third man hit outs in SC points.

His scoring progression has been extraordinary, but he's definitely on track for a 110+

Yeah the hit-outs will drop off, but that just means he's on the ground more to get the clearance.

Not concerned with that aspect .....my major concern with all Bulldogs players is the after effect of a premiership? ......have they drunk from the well of contentment?

Anyone going with Ablett?
Seriously thinking of bringing Gaz in ......tossed and turned on this alot, expected him to start slow and drop in price .....but i need to find some money for another Rookie Forward

Last year when Ablett was obviously still conscious of the shoulder .....he still rattled off 7 consectutive 100's and a big one .....that was him at his worse
