Levi Casboult, Carlton, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Nick Vlastuin, Richmond, during the first quarter of the Round One match between Carlton and Richmond, played at the MCG on Thursday March 23, 2017.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Richmond Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head. Other incidents assessed

The match day report against Richmond’s Alex Rance for engaging in rough conduct against Carlton’s Matthew Wright from the fourth quarter of Thursday’s match was assessed. Wright was seeking to pick up a loose ball in the Carlton forward line. Rance establishes his defensive position and is close to stationary when contact was made high to Wright with Rance’s right arm. It was the view of the panel that contact between the two players was inevitable but the high contact was incidental and no further action was required.

Contact between West Coast’s Jeremy McGovern and North Melbourne’s Jarrad Waite from the third quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. The panel said the ball was loose with the players McGovern and Waite seeking to contest the ball. McGovern has his right arm down to reach for the ball when high contact was made to Waite and a free kick was paid to the North Melbourne player. It was the view of the panel that McGovern was contesting the ball and no further action was required.

Cunnington contesting the ball in a JLT match cops a week, yet McGovern in a proper ALF match collects Waite in the head with a hip and it's ok because they say he is contesting the ball.

Talk about make s**t up as you go. I think the club had a right to a please explain as to why the Cunnington incident was graded so differently to other incidents?

The MRP is beyond a farce now. Just a vehicle for the AFL to make s**t up when they feel like it.

I thought of Jack about 3 milliseconds after I saw this bump. It's a carbon copy. Difference will be "he was contesting the ball" and "after reviewing the medical report".... no charges laid
