But pace and skill off HB and another 3rd tall who can play through the midfield and has flexibility, which Coffield and Fogarty for me full into these categories. Watching the highlights of these 2 to me stands out with a bit of that "wow" type factor.

Coffield is Pendles like and there's a bit of De Goey about Fogarty although Fog looks like he plays more of a taller fwd and with him I reckon it'd release Jordy into the midfield more.....whilst he developed his art up fwd.

But that's the problem with 2 minute video clips....you don't always see the whole picture and attributes of a player.

Rayner and Dow look that far ahead of everyone else it's not funny *

I agree it's an oversupply of mids, but it's a pretty weak draft with not a lot on offer that actually fills our key position needs. So I reckon the club would probably take him. Would cause a bit of controversy though.

There is no chance that Freo are taking two Victorian born players and they will take Dow over Rayner as the "go home" factor is reduced significantly (Dow a border for years at Geelong Grammar has already dealt with homesickness and Rayner has put the big "go home after 2 years" flag out there). Norf are pretty google eyed over the game breaking traits of Stephensen. There is a high likelihood that Cerra drops to 6. Do we take him ??

What's this about Rayner? Has he actually declared that he doesn't want to go interstate? Or is that just the vibe people are picking up?

Pretty sure Unknown Identity knows a friend of his who says he’s not keen on going interstate. It has Brisbane spooked enough to be overlooking him by the sounds of it, not sure about Freo though.

I get the feeling Freo wouldn't take the risk either. GWS would if they had a top 2 pick because they seek bidding wars for their elite juniors going back to Melbourne.

Definitely changes the top order. You'd have to say Dow is Brisbane bound. Freos pick at 2 is very intriguing.

Rayner to Carlton it is then :(. I can just imagine him being either a star or another Pickett... I'm not sure they need two of the same player but the opportunity to take him at 3 would be far too enticing.

I reckon I'd rather Lochie O'Brien over Cerra. Again based solely on YouTube videos, but most have him outside the top ten (10-25). Highest I've seen him is DPS having him at 10. Lowest Brett Anderson at 25.

Just not feeling it with Cerra.

That's true. I guess the same theory could almost apply to Freo. They could now take the risk with pick 2 now seeing as though they also have 5... if he (Rayner) is flying but wants to go home as early as next year, they could trade him for a first rounder in next year's super dooper draft.

My mate plays for the Jets and is close with Rayner who knows a fair bit about who is being interviewed by clubs and such. It's a reliable source.

I’m actually hoping that Ed Richards does this. “I want to play for the same club my Grandpa and Great uncle Lou played for. If you draft me I’ll request a trade in two years.”

I'd be stunned if either Brissy or Freo took Rayner. He wasn't wanting to go North and I can't see Perth being more desirable.

Even if Brisbane and Freo pass because of flight risk, Carlton will jump on it at 3. No chance of sliding to us.
