Why do you think Cerra would be a good list fit?
I'm of the belief that top 10 picks should be best available > best list fit but I'll try and plead my case. His disposal, speed, strength and decision making is up there in the top 2 or 3 in the draft, he reminds me of JPK, i think he could do a job for us off the half back until pendles/sidey start getting older

Fair assessment. Although I think he’s a bit on the slow side. But he’s a nice size and skills. Probably someone I would pass on personally but I think he’s someone we’d have an eye on.

Vinnie Vega has mentioned Stephenson and he has a very good record of predicting our draftees and that kid certainly fits the description for "pace and skill".
What’s His kicking like? Is it damaging? Just going by the highlight reel posted on here, his kicking didn’t look too convincing.

I’m really excited to go into the draft with a top 10 pick. Will be good knowing that at the start of next year we have a good youngster running around in the 2’s or even better playing round 1. We haven’t had that since JDG and Moore which feels like an eternity ago.
So is Stephenson better than Schache and Richards for pick 6? Because we could probably get the kid and pick 18 if we hurry.

His kicking is clanger central at times, not so bad other times. But he makes it look good with the way he moves. Oozes X-factor and could be anything, but not for me. Need the excitement, but given the amount of below par kicks in our team, we can't afford another. Hence why Coffield has been, is, and will be my preferred selection at #6.

And re: Cerra. I've heard if available we would pick him - to which I responded bull**** we don't need a mid, but it's the latest word around the traps. I still think he'll go top four, but with Stephenson knocking down the door up there, one of the "top four" looks likely to drop out and everything points to Freo going tall (Brander/Naughton/Hayes). Who knows, but he's not a need despite being a gun.

We'll get a gauge of good Guy is depending on who he picks at 6. We know Hine was always best available

If it's best available in that scenario, they'll pick Cerra. He's top 4 quality in this draft. Just not what we particularly need.

Personally I wouldn’t pick Stephenson and I wouldn’t take Schache, I think he’s not worth the risk of giving up pick 6. Just doesn’t seem all there. Would love to get Richards but he’ll be gone before 36.

So would he better then Players in our Best 22?
Long-term of course. Short-term he'd be ahead of our 18th to 22nd players. Problem is he doesn't squeeze into starting midfield for a few years and he's a pure midfielder. He's a gun, but I can see him being another "forward" like De Goey and not being able to play in his best spot for a few years.

I’ve heard it a bit too. I just don’t know how they can justify taking a once paced mid. If he had pace I could probably live with it. He may well turn out to be jet but it would be a strange selection. I think he could definitely get to our pick too.

It would be handy if he could slot into the back flank but I have my question marks on him playing that role.

Read that he is a Lovely Kick to the Forwards which we do Lack but is quite low on our Needs at the Moment
