Looking at the clip. Will Sutherland is better than Brander. But shhhhhhh, we need to tell Norf that Fogarty is our man or something like that.

Lets just hope he chooses footy. **** the Cricket.

This bloke goes alright too but we need KPP, think if we can fill that KP holes now next year we can get speed and class with our 1st in I.Hill.

Next years draft this bloke would be high on my list: I.Hill.

And this guy too.

Have you gone cold on your boy Fogarty Loki. :p:)

We just let North Flog us in the 2nd Last Game of the Season

I haven't seen McPherson play yet but any one with pace and skill sounds good.

Houlahan is probably a stretch at 36, more likely late 20's but one can hope! Really liked his championships, a little surprised he is not rated by many. looks to be an exceptional athlete with good skills and an extraordinary leap.
Yeah would have probably been late first round early second if he played the champs. Still could probably happen, but hopefully he slides a bit. Would be perfect for us.

Agreed with Houlahan he will probably go a lot earlier. Wouldn't be surprised if he went in the late first round.

Nah still think he will be a gun, was disappointed in his champs games though he was carrying a heavily strapped knee. He is one of a few I like around our pick, was a shocking game he had vs Metro but is young and will learn from it.

He played better in his other 2 champs games but still down on his best, hard to know how much his knee is limiting him. Sutherland probably for us is the best list fit. If we could get a 2nd pick inside the first round Balta would be good too.

Sutherland, Rayner, Fogarty, Brander, Uniake and Balta all will be good players imo.

Future spine:

F. Sutherland
HF. Moore
C. Treloar
HB. Balta
B. McClarty

R. Grundy, Degoey, Ian Hill (2018 draft focus :D).

Goal to goal line would look in pretty good shape.

Actually looking at these clips I don't know about you guys but Sutherland screams :gun: to me.
If he goes pick 3 then it's easy, we tell him to tell Brisbane it's probably cricket if you pick me. He says the same to North. Welcome to Collingwood Will Sutherland. :balloon:

Jeepers watching those clips Hill and Rankine would be dominating the AFL at 16, they look like freaks. For mine, I'm sold it's Sutherland all the way. Our biggest threat is the Blue-Baggers in the chase for Sutherland.

You know full well they'll rally for him and win over the other team in the market for a new coach...

I can see it now we will win another 3 games and completely cut our nose off to spite our face.

We will then be all ****en Buckley can't ****ing do anything right. Can't even win the losing for picks race ...sheesh.

You got to remember North and Carlton may not have their picks. The draft order may be completely different.

True, but I think Kelly will go to the Saints, and Blues and North keep their picks. I also think North would be crazy NOT to trade Goldstein with Preust waiting in the wings, they should trade for someone's future first though given it's supposed to be the best ever draft. It's fun to speculate though.

North is more likely imo. They need a good partner for Brown, whereas Carlton already have Curnow, with McKay and Kerr developing in the VFL and Ben Silvagni (already 195cm) available to them next year. I'll be shocked if their priority isn't a top end mid.

Yeah that's why I don't want us trading our future 1st.

Really? I wasn't aware of this. Even more interesting now.

Yeah was during one of the games they rattled off about 5 more names and were very keen on the King twins.

Heres a small article on next years top prospects.

TRADERS, beware.
This year’s exchange period is not the time to be moving future first-round draft picks.

The 2018 draft pool is stocked with high level top-end talent, already drawing parallels and comparisons with “Super Drafts” of years gone by.

The first two rounds of this season’s national under 18s championships have so far acted as an ideal platform for the country’s elite underage prospects to showcase their immense potential.

South Australian trio Jack Lukosius, Izak Rankine and Connor Rozee are already being touted as early picks, while teammate Jackson Hately has also impressed.

Highly rated Vic Metro twins Max and Ben King have not yet featured in the championships, though both remain widely viewed as top five prospects ahead of next year’s draft, while Vic Country duo Sam Walsh and Jye Caldwell have also caught the eye of recruiters.

West Australian pair Ian Hill and Tom Joyce have been among their side’s most promising players so far in the carnival, with a host of father-son and academy prospects also building a profile.

North Melbourne could miss out on promising father-son duo Nick Blakey (available to Sydney as part of its academy) and Bailey Scott (available to Geelong as father-son and Gold Coast as part of its academy), but has Tasmanian gun Tarryn Thomas waiting in the wings.

The more I think about it the more I see Carlton taking Rayner.

That's good to know Apex. I think that Sutherland could say to Minows NM and Bris that it's the big clubs or Cricket which could scare off a club like North. I don't think many kids would want to give up a dream to play cricket, to play for a club that in all honesty, has no guarantees of being around in 15 years time, but can guarantee playing in front of 15,000 at the concrete jungle on Mothers Day is a game that no-one cares about.

That worries me sick though to hear about Carlton's stocks.

Oh yep, Max King is definitely a shot for pick number 1 next year. 16 years old and is already over 200cm. Very exciting prospect to add to the list.

Gibbs is the one to watch here. If he still wants back to SA to play for the Crows, then surely Carlton pencil in a mid with their 1st...

Except that it will be on the money this time. Our rolled gold chance to address the biggest hole in our list and we blow it to go down with the ship.

The first hint will be if he brings back experience in Blair and Mayne. Neither of those two offers the next guy anything, but hey, they give real 1st class presh-ah!

Mind you, the two of them, thrown into our already dysfunctional side, might just restrict a team to under 60 points on Saturday night. Our team...

Alternatively Eddie sets him up with a 3 year Melbourne Stars contract and we sign him as a cat b rookie in 2020 after 3 years "cricket" training.

Brisbane won't even consider Sutherland most likely. They already have schache and Hipwood. Not to mention that Cameron Rayner is, quite clearly, the best prospect in the draft this year.
