So, just to put it into context, we're playing some pretty average at times, inconsistent footy, with injuries cropping up week in, week out. We've got so much improvement in us as a side.

We've lost players to 8+ week injures, got players out of form and down on confidence and have a game plan that is supposedly so easy to pick apart anyone can do it.

And yet, at the bye, we're top.

I think it suggests we're not necessarily easier to 'work out' than a lot of other teams around us, issue is actually having a plan to neutralise and execute it.

Settle. He made a couple of blues; he's still an absolutely gun.
Nope, he has form in making poor decisions like that. He has some incredible skills, as I said, but when there is consistent pressure, the GWS players don't seem to be able to handle it well.

Can we rate our round 1 thumping of GWS before they had 20 injuries, or does that still not count?
I actually rate our win over the Hawks as our best win so far this year. Just given the circumstances, playing the Hawks away who had the wood on us and down a player early in the game and also down by about 4 goals too.

The frustrating thing is we SHOULD be able to beat Geelong. When you look at their team vs ours we're just better.
Reckon we just need to have one win against them then we know we can beat them and it won't be a problem from then on. It is that simple, man on man, we are as good as them

A home Prelim against GWS would be lovely thanks
I know this is bordering on madness, but a prelim against the Power and rolling them would be bloody awesome..... as long as we win the following week.

The Alberton faithful would hurt so much more for years and years.

What ******* evidence is there of that? The 9 and 3 start?

Do you genuinely think those at the club aren't pulling their finger out?

I'm not sure if your post is trolling or just ignorance.
Moreso our last 15 years of mediocrity, these guys were around the club when it was thriving.

Whoopty doo 9 and 3 this season, lets release a box set dvd.

Last year was even more in my opinion. But this year would be the 2nd most open in over a decade.
I would need to sit down and look careful at the GWS injury list and see what their situation is really like.

They probably have the biggest upside given their cherry ripe first rounders given to them.

With that said, Gov and Seed back in our team are massive weapons to come back in.

We desperately need to avoid Geelong in the finals this year, it's so open.
We need to avoid them altogether, hopefully GWS can knock them off.
Worst case scenario we meet them in the final and get beaten. Media has an absolute field day, throws Dangerfield in our face and not getting Gibbs, would be a nightmare.
GWS only plays at the MCG one this year. We have a far better shot against them.

I truly believe that if we can get to a Crows v GWS grand final, the flag is ours.
I am certainly not counting on that.

First we have to focus on winning at least 6 of our next 10 games, preferably 7 or 8. The real danger games are vs Essendon, Melbourne, Port, Geelong, Sydney, West Coast, Collingwood and even Carlton.

We could lose all those games if we didn't have the focus and I am sure we cannot win them all. We can finish anywhere from 1st to outside the 8, give me top 4 any day.

Carlton got outplayed but stole one today.

We play Carlton in a few weeks and you cannot underestimate them. In fact no game is easy, especially away games vs the middle order teams. A top 4 spot is earned, not given.
We play them at the "G" rather than Etihad which will suit us better. Wider spaces, harder to defend.
