Wingard missing a set shot 30m out directly in front after the siren in a prelim against us to give us a win.

We need to avoid them altogether, hopefully GWS can knock them off.
Worst case scenario we meet them in the final and get beaten. Media has an absolute field day, throws Dangerfield in our face and not getting Gibbs, would be a nightmare.
GWS only plays at the MCG one this year. We have a far better shot against them.

I think Geelong is a great challenge. Would love to play them in a GF because they always play their most inspired football against us. But both teams need to grab the top 2 spots and then defend their home ground in the finals.

I would need to sit down and look careful at the GWS injury list and see what their situation is really like.

They probably have the biggest upside given their cherry ripe first rounders given to them.

With that said, Gov and Seed back in our team are massive weapons to come back in.

Well I just meant that last year 1 win separated 1st to about 7th.

There are less sides that are genuine contenders this year even if there is no standout favorite.

Every team we play from Round 16 to 23 will be fighting for positioning in the Top 8.

It's the perfect preparation. Look at 2012, 2015 and 2016 - easy runs home led to inflated confidence.

If we finish Top 2 this year we will have earned it and would go in confident. But as quickly as we look too far forward, we can drop a game we should win.

Even if Geelong beat the Eagles by 100+ points I doubt that'd be enough for them to leapfrog us - and they're no guarantees to win that anyway.

I actually rate our win over the Hawks as our best win so far this year. Just given the circumstances, playing the Hawks away who had the wood on us and down a player early in the game and also down by about 4 goals too.

We're sitting in 1st spot after 12 games, you are all excited but looking far too ahead right now. We have 10 more games and some of them are going to be pretty difficult ones like the game vs Essendon away from home, that is one game I dread the most because when they turn it on they are as hard to beat as anybody.

When Adelaide next lose a game, then all the blame goes on the coach, on Mackay, etc etc etc.

You cannot win them all. This season there is a chance for us to finish in the top 4 so we have to be fearless and take some risks in order get out there and earn it and then in the finals go for it as hard as you can.
