I'm guessing because the umpiring was garbage.
Melbourne were given some very lucky frees in the last five minutes, the holding the ball call against Greenwood (I think?) was shocking.

I have zero love for Collingwood but that umpiring in the last was dodgy...reminded me of the Crows v Norwood final quarter on Saturday!
Umps very quick to give Melbourne a 50:50 decision yet nothing went the other way for exactly the same stuff. The non push in the back for Adams was blatant.

It defies logic why umpires continue to pay holding the ball when the opposition team are the ones who are actually holding the ball in.

Best one since the draw in 2010, so certainly a long time between drinks.
Yeah crazy decision. Even sillier is the stupid Health and wellness show isn't even live. It starts at 9am est. So could be played at 8:30am our time for a 9:30 start of the roast. Or even 9am start which would give the roast 2 hrs like it used to.
Seems Michael Keelan particularly wants the full 4 hrs.

They'd want to get Wells and Elliott back. Looked a bit thin for skill today.
Yep especially when they keep replaying the same interviews. I can't understand it. Maybe a place for them once a week but no more than that.
Having said that they are number one in ratings.

I've really been enjoying the close games, but I'm finding that the umpiring of throws is putting me off watching.
Let's face it, the flick pass is back! Everyone is ignoring the rules, so why not change the rules to legalise the flick pass?
The only throws that get paid are when the ball is in one hand, arm extended, in clear view of the umpire. In close, the two-handed throw rules, and even the throwing up by one hand and hitting with the other is allowed. It's terrible, and some teams take advantage of it to win games. Something needs to be done. Even the commentators have given up: they describe them as "quick hands", or "little gives", etc.

I know he scored the goal, but imo it was the wrong option to be going for goal having run all that distance to put himself into a position to get the ball in the first place.
There was players by themselves, right in front 20m out.
Very very fortunate for him he kicked it. As you said, he has history of OOF.

What a joke, $20k fine for Clarkson, $15k on good behaviour until the end of 2018. How many times has he been in trouble already?
Still amazed that Clarko copped a four match ban from the juniors for abusing the umpires in an under 9s match - while being a senior AFL coach at the time!
Hurts my head that he can be a four-time AFL premiership coach yet such a buffoon. Is he the AFL's █████? Probably too harsh on Alistair but he's a shocker.
