No doubt Gibbs was a punt he could have been ordinary this year but I guess you reap the rewards, but how big was the punt Gibbs is quality

The punt would be not only giving up potential players like Burton who went a year earlier for the same pick :) but also in blocking $650k a year for 5 years of the TPP. I personally didnt realise the cap was going up by 20% at that trade time. So $650k then would be easily managed unless he was asking for an increase trigger clause. But it wasn't nothing that we were taking a punt with. But looking at it now, it looks like a bet we should have taken. Its also possible that Gibbs is going through a 1 or 2 month purple patch. Lets see how he finishes the season to decide how badly we got this wrong - or if we got it wrong at all.

Also, if this year we can get a FA like Rockcliff - who would have been an ever better addition this year - or a Kelly, Dusty or Hopper, then its a different story. The Gibbs trade would have blocked any chance of getting that player. We can complete our judgement after this years trade period. But we will also have to weigh up how close we came to the flag this year and if Gibbs would have likely affected our outcome.

subaru do you still have the footage of Wingard when he pushed an opposition player into the goal post ?

I have a couple of people on social media who I need to show it to.
I posted it on here last year.
Tried to find it recently and couldn't.

I reckon it was from the Anti Port Power Facebook page - someone sent it to me .....try that.
I'm not on Facebook.

I have it on good authority from the Port board that it will be bullshit if SPP doesn't win it. So that cancels out everything really.
If he doesn't Port supporters will say it should be strictly first year players and it is completely unfair that SPP doesn't win.

Nathan Buckley's winning percentages as a coach:

2012: 68%
2013: 60.9%
2014: 50%
2015: 45.5%
2016: 40.9%
2017: 33.3%

He's consistent, I'll give him that.
Damning.

Can't possibly survive. The Malthouse-Buckley engineered handover remains one of the worst pieces of club administration seen in AFL. Sucked in Eddie :)

I actually think he's waiting until they get better before he leaves. Doesn't want to walk out when they're performing badly as it looks like he's abandoned them. Just doesn't feel like it's going to happen though. I'm not impressed with their youth at all.

Board and members may take the choice away from him
