I just did Ladder predictor and Sydney could finish outside the 8. They have Hawthorn MCG, Geelong SS and Us AO coming up in the next few weeks, all away. They have to win at least one of those games plus the other 2 at the SCG against Fremantle and Carlton and no doubt rely on results going their way such such as the bulldogs and port losing games that aren't expected. So we could see a side capable of winning the premiership missing the finals. Wow the top 8 will come down to the wire. Good thing for us is it looks like we can afford to drop 2 games and still finish top 2.

Looking at the Giants draw they could slip out of the top 4. When you consider those last minute comebacks they could be lucky to be in the 8 right now. Another pretender. Crows, Dees or Swans for the flag.

Greg Luff from Champion Data says we're a great chance. You should go to the SEN website and listen to his Pure Footy segment, because they discuss the very real possibility of a Showdown GF. And if it came to that...I'd be looking forward to exposing you lot on the wide spaces of the MCG immensely.
Is there a stronger word for delusion, because I think you passed that point a while ago.

I like how Port are 1 win off 11th spot with zero injuries and the softest draw a side could ever get. With their piss easy run home not even they could stuff up a top 4 finish.

Please, please KT extend Kerns contract - as you said his tenure so far has been very successful.

Here's my ladder predictor for the rest of the season. Of the top teams I have:

Adelaide beating Collingwood (A), Port (H), Essendon (A) and Sydney (H) and losing to West Coast (A).
I have Port beating St Kilda (H), Collingwood (H), Suns (A) and losing to Crows (A) and Bulldogs (A).
Richmond to beat GC (A), Hawks (H), Freo (A), St Kilda (H) and lose to the Cats (A). (I know Saints just thumped Richmond but this one is at the G).
GWS to win 3 of their last 5 and Geelong to win 5 of their last 5 (few at Skilled Stadium). Sydney to lose 2 of their last 5 (against Crows at AO and Geelong at SS). Melbourne to win 4 of their last 5 as they have North (W), Giants (L), Saints (W), Lions (W) and Collingwood (W) remaining.

With this outcome, we are still two games and significant percentage clear of GWS in third. Would like to win our remaining 5 but we have some tough games. To win 3 would be OK I think.

Port i think could drop a few games in the last 5

St Kilda won't be a certainty (Expecially if Wingard doesn't play) 50/50
Honestly can't see them beating us - Loss
Pies - Win
Bulldogs in Ballarat - Honestly a loss
Gold Coast - Win

I can see them winning 3 maybe even 2 out of there remaining 5 there seriously big pretenders.
Also let's wait until Sydney play us to see where they really are. I can see them dropping Hawks, Cats, Us in the next 4 weeks.

I hate to say this but it's getting ahead of ourself but honestly were the clear favourite for the flag and if we finish top 2 i'd be pretty dam certain we'l be playing off in the GF this year.

They'll smash St Kilda, absolutely smash them.

Also yes Sydney have won 7 in a row, but who have the beaten in that time and where?
They have had a fairly soft draw in that time and came back twice from nowhere to steal wins they shouldn't have had. Time will tell but I am not convinced they are GF worthy. They are in the top 4 teams in the comp at present but they have a tough run home which will determine their true standing.

If Sydney had their best team available from round 1 and had managed three wins from their first 6 matches. They would be equal top of the ladder with 13 wins.
