Wasn't quite what he said - or meant anyway. Would he be able to play the way he does (attack minded) at any club outside Hawthorn was the question Carey posed.
I disagree. Read the article, which even includes Carey trying to clarify was he trying to say.

He definitely claims that Mitchell would struggle to get a game at other clubs, a point which he then concedes he was wrong about. He doesn't say that he was misquoted, he concedes he was wrong.

The Australian journalist and SEN regular Greg Denham gives an update on some of the game’s key trade whispers.

Josh Kelly – "North Melbourne is very confident but I’m not even sure he has told his manager Paul Connors what he wants to do just yet."

Dustin Martin - "I never thought he would leave Richmond, but it's now highest bidder."

Jake Lever – "Rumour mill rife he’ll go to Collingwood. Rumour mill has a habit of being right."

Mitch McGovern – "It’s either Adelaide or Perth. Too hard to pick at this stage but could end up going home to Fremantle or West Coast. Fremantle probably has more room in its salary cap than the Eagles."

Jacob Hopper – "Still very unsure about where he plays next year. I’ve been strong all along that it’s between Geelong and Carlton. I believe Carlton think they can still get Josh Kelly and Hopper."

Gary Ablett – "The fact Chris Scott said there are too many obstacles to get him to Geelong throw a spanner in the works. Contracted to Suns so might have to stay or retire."

Sam Reid – "Collingwood and Richmond interested and would be mad not to be."

Tom Rockliff – "Getting linked to Adelaide and Port Adelaide more and more in recent times. Last time I spoke to Brisbane they were reasonably confident he’d stay. Might stay but I’m unsure where he plays.

Charlie Cameron – "Heavily linked to Brisbane and said to be initiating the move."

Jasper Pittard – "Linked to Essendon and North Melbourne. Pretty good odds he’s not at the Power next season."

Interesting we aren't linked to Hopper.....

Probably more a case of pro-Victorian media coverage

You think they're up there in top 4?
Either side ?
Fremantle's top end talent is unquestionable.

Hill brothers, Fyfe, Waters, McCarthy, Neale are all elite players. Add Gov with a few of their kids coming through and they have a great list.

It's a pity their coach makes Primus look like Clarkson

Ha
Heard it all now, Rowe the idiot reckons Port in front with Dixon Ryder and Polec against Betts Lynch and Jenkins !!!!
Well ... it's a strange comparison of players but ...

Ryder is the best ruck in the league.
Betts is the best small forward.

Dixon is goin ok this year - Jenkins has a better goal per game average but I'd say they are pretty close to each other in terms of ratings ... probably just give it to Dixon.

Polec and Lynch are comparable in many ways - very much barometers for each team. Slightly in Lynch's favour.

Add in a small forward for Power and Jacobs for Adelaide and the comparison makes more sense, but overall it's a very close thing.
