So is it true Dangerfield is taking a month off from the media apart from his fishing show he apparently does.
I heard Caroline Wilson say something about it this afternoon.

Maybe he's sick of seeing himself on TV?

Hang on lads, I rang up the club and they said that yes, you can use a 3-game membership to get into Showdowns. We changed the rule a few years ago, they say. I have other commitments on Sunday (again) and will be lending my Crows card to a mate.
I got here and discovered I left my membership card in Cairns. Doh.
Rang the club while waiting at the carousel and I can get a pass from the Crows office near Barrie Robran. No worries about entry "fhew".

Sounds club imposed. No way he'd volunteer for that.

He will soon have withdrawal symptoms...whilst the rest of us are relieved.

Would either be Mardi telling him what to do, or his way of avoiding getting questions about the Brownlow.

He has history trying to avoid the media when he doesn't want to be asked questions. I remember when he tried to get out of his 5AA spot towards the end of 2015 to avoid being asked about whether he was leaving.

5AA refused to let him out of his agreement, but they came to a compromise where he would still do his radio spot, but no-one at all was allowed to ask him anything about his contract or his plans for 2016.

I don't think the AFL fix games, but they certainly seem to give things a nudge in the direction of the preferred outcome.

They ignore trade rules when it suits their desired result, e.g. Geelong trading a pick they shouldn't have, or Davis announcing he'd signed with GWS before that was allowed. They manipulate the draw and schedule to get what they want, performing teams getting rewarded with prime slots when it's th right teams, when it isn't then prime slots need to go to clubs who need the exposure...

It's why I'm not getting too excited about our chances at a flag. We're good enough, but we're too far down the priority list for the AFL.
#1 Would be Geelong - A Dangerfield flag is their wet dream, especially after he misses a Brownlow.
#2 The expansion market Giants.
#3 The miracle comeback 0-6 Swans.

Unsure of order, but ahead of us
Richmond, finally.
Melbourne, finally.
Dogs scrape into the 8 again and back to back, what fight they have!

We're probably ahead of Port, but maybe not if they want the 13-14 crowd to come back.
So much this!

I tbink in this instance be has been told to shut up by his club.

They have a pretty important month coming up. It is obvious the media sideshow has derailed his performances in the past two games.

How will Flopper make the media feel even more sorry for him than they already do unless he presents the medal himself?
Surely he has to still do it.
And now that the decision is in his hands, imagine how brave he will be for going up there to present the medal if he won it but was ineligible. :D:rolleyes:

Wait... is there any talk that Dangerfield doesn't want to? Is this about anything other than Geelong possibly being in a Grand Final and Danger wanting to focus on that?

Danger loves the limelight and likes to bignote himself, but I can't imagine he'd actually get pissy about presenting the Brownlow to someone else, even if he had the most votes but was ineligible. Hell, he'd probably want to make a joke about it.
